Amazing custom shelving work. We have had John out twice to our house. Once to build a custom bookshelf in our library and another time to build a custom bench/storage piece in our mudroom. Super happy with quality, price and the speed and efficiency at which the work was completed. All of the pieces were designed with our input all along the way.

We needed our master closet updated and decided to hire John as he could work with the extreme angles we had in this space. He listened to what we really wanted and was able to work with us to create a system that works great for our space. We were able to make changes as the closet took shape - seeing what would work and what was not going to work. In the end, its a closet that will work great for us. We know he takes pride in his work and if anything is not quite right, he will come and fix it. We highly recommend him for any type of build in/custom work!

We used John Monks previously to make some office cabinets that we loved so we had him come back to do floating shelves. I love how solid they are and can't wait to have them painted so I can fill them with pictures and books! John always does a great job cleaning up too. Quite frankly, I think our garage was cleaner when he left compared to before he arrived. And now I need to think of another project for him...

We recently had John make some built ins for our living room. From the beginning of the process John was easy to reach and prompt with replies. He made the installation work with my tight work schedule and we appreciate being able to customize the entire project to fit our needs. They came out great and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for build ins or any kind of finishing carpentry. We’re looking forward to using him on our future projects.
