I wasn't able to be at home while they mowed and trimmed. They advised to pay online, and a minor issue w the payment being overlooked happened, but they were very considerate at looking into the matter. I loved their services, the staff was great with leaving my gates closed once they left as I wasn't able to be home at the time. Love, love, love this company and will use in the future!

I highly recommend this company. I did have an issue with communication, but that has since been rectified, and the owner of the company went to great lengths to try to "make it right," which they did, promptly and professionally. (That can happen anywhere, and at least McVey Mowing takes customer care and service seriously). They do a great job on the lawn and weed-whacking, and I would consider them for any additional jobs or services needed. Super-friendly and professional staff, and reliable service. Again, I would highly recommend this company.

To begin with, they don't mow my yard but my neighbor's. They're fairly fast but they aren't very respectful to the neighboring yard of where they work. In the fall when there are leaves in the yard they'd blow a bunch to our side even after we already cleaned our side. And they leave a big mess in the middle of the road. I understand their lawnmowers are powerful and are throwing far but perhaps they should mow in the direction that's throwing towards the yard, like a homeowner like me with a meekly push mower does. Then they blow it further away when they're done. Big contrary to the lawn guy

We've used McVey Mowing for about five years now. During this time, they've mowed our large yard, front and back every two weeks in the summer.
The mowing is careful, neat, and exactly to the length I request. They edge sharply and deeply. The crew cleans up completely--not a stray blade of grass anywhere. They're fast and for people using power equipment, quiet. Both of those things are important, as I work from home. They are also utterly reliable. I have never had to wonder if they'll show up.

I contacted McVey Mowing regarding the mowing of my lawn as I'm unable to do it at this point of time. Ben was very helpful and responded right away and answered all questions I had. Unfortunately, my property has a chain link fence and gate. Their equipment is too big to fit through, and so he gave me the info and referred me to two other companies. So even though I was unable to use their services, I found them to be very professional, courteous, and very helpful.

We hired McVey Mowing Service to do a large landscaping job at our home. Our property is hilly and has large areas of wash along our driveway, other hills, and along a small creek. Several areas of the property never had good top soil and they needed to be filled In and reseeded.
Keith and Tim did a professional job of adding top soil in the washed out areas and placing large rocks (rip rap) along the creek bed. They re-seeding and added protective matting to prevent future erosion. They were conscientious, competent and very pleasant to work with.
We also removed old shrubs and planted evergreens

I was really unhappy with my previous lawn care service because they were never consistent. I couldn't ever anticipate when my yard would be mowed. This is problematic because we entertain clients several times a week, and the first impression of the house is the front yard. Not only was my yard in need of serious attention, but when they finally did come, my yard looked sad, like the grass was dead. I was referred to McVey mowing by a friend.
