Finger Lakes Refuse Disposal

A loyal customer for over 10 years - until recently. That is the day I called to have a converstaion with the manager of the Canandaigua location.
The sales Manager of the Canandaigua location (Mike) is rude, condescending, and a 'know it all'. If he were an employee of mine, he would be comporting himself in a more professional manner with both customers and employees, or he would be terminated.
I dislike an employee who tries to act 'managerial' when all they are really doing is acting bossy and bullying.
Regardless of fees, I switched companies.

At a time when mediocre is the standard, these folks are a real cut above. This was my experience with the “other guys.” A few years ago I used Waste Management. I found them way too expensive and the recycling bins are tiny and all recycling has to be a certain size with specific sorting. Casella sent a flyer advertising “No Sort” recycling in a 96 gallon tote. They did well for a couple of years. Then they would miss picking up the garbage a few times and wouldn’t make an unscheduled pickup, instead, crediting us for the week. One time we went the entire month of September without a

Have relied on Finger Lakes Refuse for over a year now. Their service is very reliable. Unfortunately, they offer no online payment system. All payments have to be made over the phone. They NEVER answer the phone when I call during business hours, and when they finally call me back after leaving multiple voicemails, the woman I have dealt with over the phone is very rude.

Discontinued services after 2 months. They decided I lived too far out of the way, which I understand being that I am in Wayne county. However it took 3 weeks for them to grab their container and recycling bin. Upon taking the last load they decided to throw whatever bit of trash there was left, on my drive way... thanks- I guess the empty bin next to it wasn’t good enough.

We set up garbage services with them two weeks ago. They told us our pick up day would be Wednesday mornings so to make sure our garbage cans are out Tuesday night. Last week I put the cans out Tuesday and when I got home from work Wednesday they were still there. I called and they said they would send someone out. They didn’t come pick it up till Thursday. So this week I got home from work on Wednesday knowing the holiday was today and the garbage wasn’t picked up. This is two weeks in a row that they haven’t gotten our garbage on the scheduled day yet our neighbors who live right next door

So far so good. We’ve been using them for two months so far and they’ve been great. They come when they say they’re going to and they pick everything up that we put out. They made a mistake on our bill and when I called she was very polite and apologetic about it and took care of the error promptly. Really nice people.

Insanely rude on the phone. I had one question about getting a new green bin, and was treated with so much attitude and disdain. All you had to say was we don’t sell those here...

Finger lakes disposal is top notch.
The staff is extremely professional and helpful. The cost is very reasonable also. I would not recommend any other place as Finger Lakes disposal is the best way to go for your disposal needs.

Worse please to deal with .. put money on a dumpster and when they came to empty my trash the money was not there...then the person butch that picks it up continues to call me names over the phone when I was trying to pay them seeing as how the money just disappear of my dumpster and I live in the country. When Butch shows back up I try to pay again and yet he is still very disrespectful to me when I tried to talk to him.. and removes it from my home...i always make payments on time.

I have used FL Disposal a few times. They are on time, and Mike in the office does a great job communicating. I would highly recommend them if you need disposal service.
