Horticultural Gardens replaced a shared wall that was generations old and mostly destroyed. Their owner worked with us and the city of Atlanta to ensure everything was done perfectly.
This wall was especially difficult because it had to not only replace a foot print of a wall that was over 100 years old it also had to be dug by hand and through a fallen 40" oak tree root system to matchup into a newer existing 5' granite wall.
Even with all these crazy requirements they managed to coordinate the work with the city code and the two different homeowners.!!

Horticultural Gardens did several jobs for me. Carter came out and walked my house with me as I showed him the areas that I had problems with. He has good ideas and solutions. I had them install dry beds in my front yard to correct drainage issues. They also retiled my covered porch which was severely cracked due to improper deck support below. They shored up the area below this upper deck by properly double joisting it. They also replaced some warped and cracked deck posts, properly cemented the bases and leveled the area underneath to prevent any post rot (see photos of the red clay on the side

Critical: Punctuality
Had an appointment between 12 and 1pm. I took off work and sat here through my lunch to make this appt. I get a call at 12:56 stating the guy that does the estimates is not going to make it as he is sick. This seems to happen quite frequently in Georgia. So not a good experience right off the bat.

Carter came highly recommended by a coworker but after two last minute cancellations and never showing up for the third appt (so far it is almost two hours past my appt time) I have great doubts about his ability to handle my project efficiently. If he cant respect my time (the time I have to take away from work to meet with him) then will he respect me enough to do a high quality job and warranty his work? He will never get the opportunity to find out.

We use Carter for all of our landscaping designs. He is responsive and very professional. He crew is reliable and their work is quality. They have build drainage for us, paths with stone steps and are now cutting trees and clearing shrubs and the fence they are building is better than the one the fence company built.

I contacted Carter Mason based on recommendations from neighbors. He was prompt, friendly and very professional. He came out to look at my space and discuss what I wanted. He came back to measure the areas and within a week of our first meeting came over with a full design and estimate and had heard all of my requests and incorporated them into a great plan. The next week, his very polite and nice crew came out and in three days changed my crappy old backyard into a really nice space designed for me to enjoy and something that will work with my 3 dogs as well. I am very happy with the results

I've had them out twice for two separate projects. These guys are truly artists!

Found Carter on line and he drive to Mineral Bluff to talk to me. Did a drainage project and a small amount of landscaping. We were so satisfied that we agreed to remove a concrete retaining wall and drainage ditch and wood planters and replace with natural stone and landscape about 400 feet of driveway. We had a compressed time frame but Carter was able to get the job done. It is beautiful, done on time and with daily pics to update progress. I was in Florida while the job was done so this made me feel better about being 700 miles away. Nevertheless, we are thrilled and are planning our next

Prior to hiring Carter Mason and his company several months ago to resolve some drainage issues, we read reviews and based on the reviews and meeting with him, we thought we made a good choice. The drains were placed but only one was done with soil erosion fabric and rocks. He insisted that the other two drains needed mulch and ground covers only. He assured us that rocks were not needed to prevent the mulch from washing in the drains. We were NOT sold on this idea and it did rain. Carter Mason was informed that the drains were covered with debris, etc and he did come out to assess our concern

What we needed: We were having flooding into the backyard during heavy downpours and my idea was to add a sump-pump to an existing drain on a side yard.
What we had installed: Carter suggested a less expensive route, adding an additional, 8-inch drain to an existing catch basin.
As luck would have it, about an hour after the drain was installed, there was a violent rain and we got to see if it worked, and it did. In some areas, where the grass was the most healthy, we could not even see that there was a repair done, once

We Are Extremely Pleased Customers!
We live on a golf course and felt our backyard needed some color since it was rather blah with not much landscaping. We were looking to have more of a "wow" factor since our house is in full view of the golf course.
