Since 1972, we have been providing lamps, lighting, shades, and tasteful home decor in our turn-of-the-century mansion. We are located at 80th & Pacific Avenue in Tacoma and we have been providing lighting products as well as repair and restoration services for our customers. We have the largest selection of lampshades south of Seattle.

Our knowledgeable staff will help you find the right shade. Be sure to bring in your lamp for a personal fitting. The Glass Candle serves the entire South Sound and we are able to find just about anything you need in lighting if we don't already have it in store. Have had old gas lamps converted there, had Belleek lamps from Ireland worked on and also purchased several unique items there. I love this store so much my husband panics when I go there 😊!

Possibly the best customer service I've received in years. I brought in an old myrtle wood lamp from the 1940's with the original harp and wiring. They repaired the lamp keeping the original pieces, the same harp and plug but new wiring. It looks wonderful and we are using it by the front door.

I had a lamp that I needed to find a shade for and wasn't having much luck. I came across The Glass Candle and thought I'd give them a try. The store is very inviting. The woman who helped me listened to my idea for the type of shade I wanted and then proceeded to show me different options that fit what I was looking for. The entire process was very pleasant. I have more lamps I need to shade and this will be my go to place.

I needed my favorite lamp rewired and I took it in to the Glass Candle. It is a beautiful old place. I had always thought about visiting. They repaired my lamp, and replaced the shade. I highly recommend it for all lighting needs.

Very helpful, local business. They were able to help me with a chandelier repair. Pricing was very affordable and they redid for no extra charge when I wasn't satisfied with it the first time. I would definitely take future repair jobs to The Glass Candle.

My second time patronizing this business, and they really showed that they are a business with sincere ethics. The lamp that I took in this time has a light in the base as well as the regular light that may be used as a night light. It wasn't working for me so I took it in. No charge because it turned out all there needed was a little more turning of the bulb. Now, a shady business would have given some excuse and charges anyways, even if only for an estimate. This business has impressed me very much so far. My only concern is that I think they should have a ramp built to make the first floor
