I am very thankful to have worked with American Tree Care since we purchased our first home nearly 10 years now. They have helped us determine which trees are healthy, which were in desperate need of trimming and the ones we needed to take down. Just this week they finished up a another trimming job for us and I am very pleased again. I trust them and definitely recommend!

They did not provide me with the the 2 cords I paid for. I asked if wood would fit in my Woodburn. The owner assured me that the cut to length about 16". Well let me tell you I will be giving alot of it away. Then the man that delivered it thought I was 1/2 cord short. When I called the owner told me to stack the wood and he would come out and look to see if i was short. I told him my racks weren't that size and he said. OH WELL!!!!

Word to the wise - never pay a contractor in full for job before it's finished, especially Bill Zimmerman of American Tree Care 35 Sycamore Street, Niles, MI 49120. This is what American Tree Care in Niles, MI left me with after owner Bill Zimmerman agreed to grind the stump 10" below grade. Bill is insisting the vines / ground cover is "grade." Bill demanded payment in full after the tree was cut, but before the stump was ground. I said I was hesitant to pay in full before the stump was ground. The owner talks a fantastic game. Shows you all of his documents such as bonding insurance which you should have when selecting a company to do your work.
What I did not approved of he comes to your property walks around when you are not there, removes the trees without in telling you, then ask for payment in full.
His trucks tore up my lawn, and he did not clean up properly.
There is still a large piece of my tree stump sticking out of the ground.
He has been called several times and he makes promises he’s coming to remove it but does not show.

American Tree Care was prompt in returning phone calls, providing an estimate, removing the tree and bush as requested, and cleaning up. Communication was excellent. We were provided with an itemized estimate, and they did exactly what they stated they would do, for the price quoted. They provided great service for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

We have used American Tree Care for all our tree care needs over the past 25 years. Their crews are very professional, quick to get the job done safely and clean up everything thoroughly. They are very knowledgeable with how to properly care for trees and offer great suggestions to prevent significant damage during the storms we receive in our area. Very happy with their service every time and we highly recommend them to everyone we know. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our trees.

Do not hire American Tree Service, they are dishonest. On May 3, 2018 we had a very large tree come down in a storm. They came out and in two days cleared all but the main trunk of the tree. We had paid them $500 for the first days work. The owner asked my wife if she could pay the full amount in advance of finishing all the work so he could have the money for payroll. She agreed and on May 7 gave him a check for $1875.00. It's now July 12 and he has not come back to finish the work, we haven't heard from him and he won't return any of our calls. I had a quote with in a couple hours of my call. The price was competitive. I mailed the deposit on a Wednesday, the tree was out the following Monday. The very large maple tree was in a tight location surrounded by three buildings. The closest was 11 feet away, the furthest 19 feet away. They professionally took it out with precision. The workers were personable and enjoyed dealing with them. I am 100% satisfied with the entire transaction. I highly recommend American Tree Care!

Don't waste your money on this company. We had a large maple come down on our property that was blocking our driveway. American Tree Care came out the same day to clear the driveway so we could at least get in and out, which we really appreciated. They worked another day or two and we haven't seen them since in spite of numerous calls which they don't return, a promise from the owner that if he didn't have his crew out by the end of the week he would personally come on Saturday to work on the tree--that didn't happen, and sending him an overnight letter requesting he contact us by July 6 or we
