Advance Chimney cleaned my chimney April 2018 and it appeared to be a decent job, hard to tell. Started my first fire of the year at the end of November and as the fire got going I heard a clunk. The top section of the chimney brush they used dropped down from the chimney. Unbelievable. I pulled on it while the fire was going but could only get part of it out. Then I had to stop the fire, let everything cool (1 hour), remove the damper and pull out the rest of the brush which was bent from melting. Called the website number and spoke to Mike who said he was the owner. It was Friday, November 23

Advanced Chimney gets no stars!
I had made an appointment with Advanced Chimney on September 13th at 2:30. They called to cancel and tell me they needed to reschedule for the next day, Saturday for the hours of 11-1, which I said was fine. However, someone actually ends up showing up on Friday 13th around 11:00 but I wasn't home because not only was this NOT the scheduled appointment time, but they were never supposed to come on Friday because they "canceled." So I took off of work to be prepared for them to come Saturday and again, they cancel. I had four phone calls from four

They called me earlier in the week stating that I was due for a cleaning. Scheduled for Saturday between 10 and 1. Then received phone confirmation for between 11 and 2. Once 1:30 came called to confirm and told technician is running late and would not be here until 4. Received call from technician asking to confirm my address did not feel comfortable giving out my address to a random person on the phone he got upset and then refused to come. I was very unsatisfied with this company. I bought an older house and knew my chimney needed a cleaning and a new flue which was rusted and stuck open in December (holy draft). They came and ordered a part, I paid for the part and then didn't hear from them for a week or so. After I followed up, they kept putting it off, were waiting for the part etc etc etc. Finally I have an appointment for them to come install, someone else than the original worker who did the estimate comes and says the previous worker ordered the wrong part and was actually fired and all of these crazy things! Zero stars. If you value your time and money you will immediately find another company. They cancelled two scheduled appointments wasting two plus weeks of our time. Read the previously posted reviews, we received the exact unapologetic line, that their technicians were still finishing another job, the hour they were scheduled to show. This cancallation was already a rescheduled appointment. Find another chimney sweep.

If you are looking for a good price and professional service then look no further. Paulie, the service technician is a rock star when it comes to chimneys, he sucessfully restored my 100 year old fireplace 2 years ago and did it for a super affordable price explaining everything to me along the way. I can now enjoy my fireplace like I always wanted. Highly recommended.

Called advanced chimney because they had done service on my chimney in the past. Called early in the week for a cleaning, was scheduled for Sat svc btw 11am-2pm. They called Friday night to confirm and I was told someone would call when they were on the way. 2pm came and went. I called and got voicemail on the number, left a message, no call back. Called a second time, got a lady on the phone who said I was next on the list and that she was going to have the technician call me right away. No call. Terrible company. I hired them to redo a fireplace. The firebox was completely crooked, not centered and different angles left and right. They rebuilt it correctly within 1 day. But now I have no mantel. No news. For more than a month. This is what my living room looks like now. The fan on the roof that I had before disappeared. They debited my credit card for the second half of what was due though...

They flooded my boiler room with chimney dust. My boiler tech said they didn't even clean the chimney just pushed it down. Now I have to get my whole boiler room cleaned (there is soot EVERYWHERE ALL OVER MY HOME) AND I still need my chimney swept. They charged over $ 725 bucks for the job. Avoid Advanced Chimney. Awful does not describe it.

Missed 3 appointments. Neighbor recommended Advanced Chimney. 11/13 made appointment for 11/24 between 10 and 2. About noon they called and said they were running late and could be there between 3 and 5 or could reschedule. I had evening plans and opted to reschedule. The next mutually agreeable date was 12/8 between 9 and 12. At 11:45 they called to say they were running late and would be there between 12 and 3. I'm torn because I was really impressed during my consultation and on installation day, the guy here was very friendly, took the time to explain everything, and told me honestly what needed to be done and what didn't.

My two sentences to describe Pauli of Advanced Chimney: Pauli's is Absolutely the Best There is! He was a godsend and savior for some issues I had with my house that day!
Now the long version:
On the day of snowstorm in March 2017, I saw a leak thru the fire place chimney and active snowflakes during the snow storm. I went thru Homeadvisor.com and called a few companies for evaluation and capping the chimney. Of the 3 companies, Advance Chimney gave me the appointment for the time of the day I desired.

Basically, I used this company to install a liner, but the t used to connect to the boiler and flue was all the same diameter. When I had my annual tune up there was a back draft coming down the chimney on my hot water heater( the match test). I called him back and explained and he refused to install a T going 3 inches into 4 inches to prevent the back draft. $160 later I had the company who tunes up my boiler install it to provide safety in my home. I would not recommend this company.

You know, everyone keeps saying that this company is scamming and will try and get you to have more work done. EVERY company does that.it's like going to a nail salon and them saying you need a pedicure when you were there for a fill in. But you need the pedicure and u need the liner for your 60 year old chimney .

This company is a total scam and highly suggest not using them unless you want to deal with unprofessional rude people...They came into my home, filthy dirty without using shoe covers or drop cloths, left soot residue all over my entire first floor. The technician decided it was a good idea to turn of his vacuum inside which blew soot all over my house..Spent hours cleaning after they left..When I called to complain, i was immediately hung up on...When I called back again, I was promised to receive a refund in the mail, which i never received. So unless you want to pay $ to have your house ruined
