After moving to Chico from out of state, and seeing our first full PG&E bill, we knew we had to go solar and quick. Kevin Harrasser and his United Sun Energy team provided us with a detailed analysis of our potential future energy usage based off that one bill, in conjunction with data from hundreds of homes in their system of similar size and usage. Kevin spent time going over every last detail of the system that would best fit our home and provide us with the energy we need now, and in the future when we install a swimming pool later this fall. We took our time in choosing a solar company to purchase our system from. We got quotes from 4 local businesses and even from the energy sage website. United Sun Energy was the last company we contacted and I'm glad we did. Kevin was super easy to work with, he explained everything in detail and was very upfront about the whole process. What made United Sun Energy stand out from all the others was Kevin did not have a predetermined product he was trying to sell us. I spent about three years shopping for a solar energy system. I received quotes from a few vendors and spent countless hours reading on the Internet. I was very concerned about warranty issues and also about how the installation would affect my S-tile roof. One company misled me about their warranty coverage (I found out by reading the fine print) and another failed to give me a copy of their warranty after three requests. There were a few quirks to my installation that would require some creativity and care, and I was not encouraged by the lack of accurate information or personalized attention

We have waited a long time to choose a solar company. Kevin took the time to explain the process of solar, leasing vs buying, production of power, etc. Pros and cons of both. He spent a significant amount of time with us in discussion. No pressure at all. Once the decision was made, the start to finish in two weeks! Kevin and Debbie took care of everything, permits and inspections. The workman came early and worked all day, taking only three days for actual installation. Ok, so I'm impressed. We did a lot of research before deciding on a solar company. We looked into leasing and purchasing. It seemed everyone was trying to sell us on why they were better. But what caught my attention at first, was that instead of focusing on selling us anything, our salesperson simply tried to educate us on the options and the system itself.
