After contracting with Sears and ASI for over 20 years, Ernie Donati decided to open The Counter-Fitters in 1987. Our original shop was located in a small building on Summer Ave. The business grew and moved the shop to a larger area on Broad Ave in no time. At the end of 2016, we purchased our building located on Summer Gale Dr.
For over 30 years, the Counter-Fitters, Inc team has provided exceptional countertop fabrications for all residential and commercial clients throughout Memphis, TN, and the surrounding areas. Our team offers custom design and installation of all of our countertops. All of our countertops come in in granite, marble, quartz, and more, as well as a variety of composite materials that will last beautifully in your home or business.
First, determine the depth (front-to-back measurement). Standard base cabinets are 24," and standard post form laminate countertops are 25", which allows for a 1" overhang on the front. Measure the length of each counter section using the back wall. Be sure to mark each top with the correct depth measurement, so we know whether it is a standard top or bar top (open on both sides).

Counter Fitters were so easy to work with. They were always there when they said they would be, and were always courteous and friendly. I will definitely use them again for future upgrades in my home!!! I love my kitchen and 1/2 bath off the kitchen. Goodbye 1980's laminate. You served us well. Hello beautiful quartz! The Counterfitters are the best. Very responsive, easy to work with. They keep you up to date on your order and quickly answer any questions you have (Tiffany is especially great!). Quick and thorough installation. Took a while to find them but I am so happy that everyone else fell through. They got us scheduled promptly, showed up right on time, were efficient and organized, and most importantly did an excellent job undoing and redoing the shoddy work done by the previous owners of our home. The estimate was fair and there were no surprises. On top of all of that, they were warm and personable. I would absolutely use them again!

The Counter-Fitters, Inc. was a great choice for installing our laminate countertops. We tried going with a couple of other companies but their process to just come out and measure was too difficult. We had a great experience from start to finish. Communicating with their team was so easy and the initial quote made sense. They came out to measure, which didn't take very long. Then, they came out 2 more times for install. Everything was pretty seamless and we would definitely use them again!

Ernie and his team did a wonderful job installing a new kitchen island and undermounting a single-basin sink. Additionally, they coordinated plumbers to re-install our disposal, faucet, and drain, which was a huge time-saver and headache-saver for us. Tiffany did a wonderful job coordinating this work and her communication was clear and helpful! We highly recommend The Counter-Fitters and would definitely use them again.

These folks are Awesome - They worked with us to pick out exactly what we wanted. They are very knowledgeable in all types of countertops and what would work best for our particular needs. Their pricing was competitive and more than fair. The installers were professional - courteous - friendly - fun - very thorough in explaining what they were doing, and cleaned up after themselves.
