Services
The first fire engine was a 1950 Ford F-6. The District was (and continues to be) governed by a five member Board of Directors. The first members of the Board were; Hugh Preston, Ken Emerson, Fred Kern, Pete Bowman and Gus Gustafson. The District also purchased a second fire engine. In 1967, a parcel was purchased from Tom Wellik (Mr. Wellik would later become the first Ebbetts Pass Firefighter's Association Honorary Member).

A fire and public safety program to prevent fires which threaten lives, property and the environment and promotes a fire and accident safe community.
The Ebbetts Pass Fire District is seeking Candidates to fill open Firefighter-Paramedic positions. Candidates Must have a California Class C Driver's License and complete in-house driver training licensing program within the first two years of employment. Must have a minimum of two years full-time paramedic experience or equivalent within an ALS system.

In becoming a volunteer firefighter you can expect many surprises, wakeful hours, camaraderie with fellow citizens and firefighters and even some requirements for your commitment. Requirements that allow you to safely and effectively perform the emergency service duties that will be thrust upon you.
