From CPR Classes & LifeJacket Loan Programs to our Vial-of-Life Project, the Ebbetts Pass Fire District offers many beneficial programs for our community. Fire prevention starts with you. Creating a "defensible space", having functioning fire extinguishers & smoke detectors, campfire safety and much more.

With four fire station locations, the Ebbetts Pass Fire District is ready to respond to fire and medical emergencies throughout our district at any time. Our commitment to the communities of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District goes beyond responding to emergency situations.

As our Mission Statement says; The Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District shall provide for life and property safety from the threat of fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials release.This will be accomplished through planning, prevention, education, incident mitigation and appropriate application of technology.
Services
The first fire engine was a 1950 Ford F-6. The District was (and continues to be) governed by a five member Board of Directors. The first members of the Board were; Hugh Preston, Ken Emerson, Fred Kern, Pete Bowman and Gus Gustafson. The District also purchased a second fire engine. In 1967, a parcel was purchased from Tom Wellik (Mr. Wellik would later become the first Ebbetts Pass Firefighter's Association Honorary Member).

The Ebbetts Pass Fire District shall provide for Life and Property Safety from the threat of fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials release through Planning, Prevention, Education, Incident Mitigation, and Appropriate Application of Technology. A fire and public safety program to prevent fires which threaten lives, property and the environment and promotes a fire and accident safe community.
The Ebbetts Pass Fire District is seeking Candidates to fill open Firefighter-Paramedic positions. Candidates Must have a California Class C Driver's License and complete in-house driver training licensing program within the first two years of employment. Must have a minimum of two years full-time paramedic experience or equivalent within an ALS system.
Thank you for your interest and community involvement. In becoming a volunteer firefighter you can expect many surprises, wakeful hours, camaraderie with fellow citizens and firefighters and even some requirements for your commitment. Requirements that allow you to safely and effectively perform the emergency service duties that will be thrust upon you.
