My name is Derek Vondette and I have lived in the Rifle, Colorado, area since 1970 and my wife, Traci, has lived here since 1986. We have been co-owners of Summit Sweeping & Asphalt Maintenance, LLC, since 1991. Living in the area for this long has allowed us to build a strong relationship and sense of responsibility to our community.
A clean and well maintained parking lot projects the image of success to patrons, while a dirty lot takes away from the beauty of the building and patrons might hesitate from entering. Sweeping the sand, dirt and debris off your lot helps the interior of your building to stay clean and helps prolong the life-span of your flooring.
Asphalt damage is caused by many factors such as: gas, oil, sun, oxidation, salt, water penetration and hot/cold weather. Cracks are ugly and once they start they grow quickly and if the cracks become too large, the asphalt may have to be replaced rather than repaired. Crack filling prevents water from entering and weakening the base and/or sub-base of the parking lot therefore preventing further deterioration.
Sealcoating your parking lot or driveway is one of the most important elements you can do, it not only beautifies the appearance but it slows down the oxidation; slows water penetration; resists ultraviolet rays; reduces the effects of the freeze-thaw cycle; improves the flexibility; easier to maintain; and increases the life of the asphalt.
