This time of the year in Chicago, when faced with slick, icy concrete drives and walks, chemical de-icers and salt treatments start to look very appealing. De-icing products such as rock salt and fertilizers, while effective at making your stairs, walks and drives less slippery can be comprised of ingredients that can be harmful to.
As a licensed concrete and brick mason in the City of Chicago, I'm often asked what the difference is between fiber mesh and WWF (welded wire fabric) when giving estimates. My first response to home owners is Turn and RUN from any contractor who tells you ALL you need is fiber mesh because it's stronger.
Being one of only a few licensed Chicago Concrete Contractors doing estimates for clients in the Chicagoland area and showing pictures of completed work, I always get the ooh's and aah's when they see the stamped concrete pictures. Then, when the prices are figured the first questions are, "Why is it so expensive?"
As a Chicago Concrete Contractor serving Chicago, IL and all surrounding suburbs, I always find myself helping our clients become more educated on the concrete they will be receiving. I explain to them that they should be very careful when comparing two different estimates because the details will make a huge difference in the longevity of.

You’d better be rich to hire them. I asked for a quote on a new driveway and was called promptly. The salesman gave me a ballpark price of $12,000 (which I didn’t object to), and said he’d get me a written quote. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I emailed again. Still nothing. Emailed twice more, no response. Thought maybe my emails were not being delivered, so called. A different salesman gave me his email address and said he’d get me a quote by end of day. It’s been a week and a half since then and still no quote. I guess my job isn’t profitable enough for them?

Unfortunately, i must recount and update a recent positive review. terry and others from chicagoland concrete recently replaced our front concrete steps near the end of summer. the actual work was good but the brick retaining walls were badly marred with sloppy concrete splash; this is no minor eye-sore. upon notifying terry, i was told of several methods i could try to remove this. none were successful. terry informed me in writing that he would send someone out to remedy the situation otherwise. months later, they are completely unresponsive. my wife and i have phoned the company 3 times and

Minutes after requesting a quote I received a phone call. Although I was not able to pursue the project, Chicagoland concrete was more than helpful in the information given to me. They seem very knowledgable in the work that they do and hopefully, when the time is right, I will contract them for my project.

If I could give them no stars I would. They did a stamped concrete project on my front porch with lights installed in the steps. One light went out shortly after the project was completed and now the paint and glaze are fading away from the porch. I called for at least a year and a half for the light to be replaced or repaired and the porch to be repainted and glazed over and the manager said he would stop over to see what could be done and replace the light. Well it is now two years after my last conversation and know one ever showed up. What a disappointment with this company.

My wife and I bought a new house and one of the first projects we wanted to do was put a pressed concrete patio in the back and a parkway walkway in the front (the developer didn't want to do it for some reason). There was a false start on both caused by a blunder at the concrete company (not CC's fault), but Chicagoland Concrete was very professional and quick about correcting the mistake. The city, being the city, was very slow about the permit process for the parkway walkway, but that was eventually resolved as well. In the end we got a fantastic looking patio and a good looking front walk way

This place is great!!!
I live in Northeastern Montana and had hired a local contractor to pour the basement for our new home. We have been living in the new home less than six months and I noticed some problems with our concrete. I grew up near Chicago and know that's where the best experts live! So, I did a Google search "Concrete Contractors Chicago IL" and Chicagoland Concrete, Inc. was the first result. I called them up and explained my situation.

I hired Chicagoland Concrete to look at a "retaining wall" that was supporting the concrete pad that an extension on my house had been built on. The retaining wall had bowed out on one side. Other companies I had called refused to even come out and look at the job.
Dan came out to take a look and proposed a few different solutions, ranked based on cost and robustness of the repair. Once the job was underway, the damage turned out to be much more extensive than we originally thought. Dan's team called an audible and proposed a reasonable solution to get some support under the pad.
