There are so many things to do in this area, it is hard to just keep it down to just a few. But this will be fun because they are diverse and interesting! This local farm is known around the area for its amazing ice cream. Spider Hill is also a working farm with corn, grain, and tobacco. They have a farm stand that sells locally sourced goods like produce, milk, meat, eggs, cheese, and even gift items.
One thing people have in common is that we all eat. And some great food is available in Prince Frederick, food unique to the area and to the people. A few of the restaurants stand out because you don't expect them in this area, but they are very welcome. Everything listed has ratings of at least 4.5 on Yelp.
One thing Southern Maryland in general and Calvert County specifically has, and that is vintners and brewers. Folks who love beer and wine and make it their craft and specialty and take care to make a good libation. Please, if you go to any of these places, drink responsibly. Prince Frederick is in the middle of Calvert County, which gives it the best access to anything in the area having to do with events, parks or things to do. One of those things to do is to explore the history in Maryland - and a lot of it is right in Calvert County and Southern Maryland. This is the early history of the United States when it was starting out, the Chesapeake Bay and the War of 1812.
Prince Frederick is the county seat of Calvert County, MD. It is far enough away from Washington DC to feel like you are out of the city, yet close enough to be an easy commute. The main roads to and through Prince Frederick are MD Route 2 which goes from Annapolis to Solomons Island and MD Route 4 which starts as Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC and at the state line turns into MD Route 4 and runs all the way to St Mary's County.

We had a small tree taken down. They responded quickly to get us a quote and then took the tree down within a few days. We didn't even know they were here till we heard the chainsaw start. We watched them take down the tree and then pick up a few extra limbs from the yard as they left.

They arranged to have someone out for an estimate and was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. The crew was very professional. The men cut down 4 trees that were threatening to fall on my house. They were very professional, polite and efficient. A job I expected would take most of the day was finished in 2 hours. They had a very brave tree climber that scared me to death, but he did a terrific job. Highly recommended.

The customer service was amazing from beginning to end. This is a company that takes great pride in a job well done. I was expecting some mess after cutting down a huge tree, Nothing, they cleaned up everything. They even took a leaf blower to my neighbors car to get the sawdust off. It was that small gesture that made me realize I picked the right company. I will definitely be using them again and recommending them to friends!
