Services
Rick Howell, Universal's CEO and the sole owner of the company, grew up working at Universal, which initially provided insulation services to the pulp and paper industry. Under his leadership, Universal has broadened its market presence to include the steel, cement, chemical processing, and power industries while expanding its service offerings to include insulation maintenance, roofing/siding, and painting.
Universal Limited's scaffolding systems are erected and designed using heavy-duty materials to meet some of the highest safety standards in the industry. We have a large inventory and provide scaffold erection to all industries including pulp and paper, manufacturing facilities, power generation facilities, and refineries.

At Universal, we believe that a successful safety program starts at the top. Our Corporate Safety is in constant communication with upper management and the field level always assessing ways to improve. Daily meetings are held at the jobsite, weekly meetings are held with all site safety management, and monthly meetings are held with all upper management.
