A resident of Santa Barbara, California since the age of four, Joseph Vaccaro's roots in the community run deep. A graduate of San Marcos High School, Class of 1986, he started moving furniture later that year. What started out being a good job with a flexible schedule that allowed him to attend Santa Barbara City College and earn two degrees, later turned into a successful career in moving.

This was my first time hiring professional movers, and after reaching out to a few different companies, I'm so glad that we chose Loadstar! We were moving out of an apartment with really narrow walkways and stairs, and everything was moved very carefully. They unloaded everything to our new place quickly (in a heat wave, I might add), and we didn't see any damage at all. We were extremely happy and relieved with how smooth everything went! Best movers by far!! Great communication and very professional. I needed help moving some very heavy furniture on short notice and Joe the owner fit us in during his incredibly busy schedule. The guys were so careful and polite. They were amazingly efficient!!! I highly recommend Loadstar movers and will be using them again soon for all our moving needs!

My husband and I moved from a 2 bedroom apartment in Goleta to a house in Santa Barbara. We hired Loadstar Movers based on Yelp reviews. Communication with Joseph (the owner) was very clear and easy from the beginning. Our movers were punctual, friendly & EFFICIENT. In my opinion, we had quite a lot of stuff to move. Everything was moved and unloaded within 5 hours, which I was really impressed by. They treated our furniture with care and nothing was damaged. There were no hidden fees. They asked where we wanted boxes and furniture to be placed. 5 stars. Stress-free moving experience. Definitely

A few weeks ago I bought a piano. I've never owned a piano before and obviously had no idea nor thought about how to go about moving a piano.. After I paid for it, the previous owner asked me how fast I could get it out of his house. I then realized I was screwed. I tried to budge it on my own but no way. I told the previous owner I would get back to him after he again stressed he needed it gone.
I called Loadstar movers. Very glad I did. I got Joe the owner on the line around 5 pm. Needless to say there was a a truck there the next morning. I met the guys at my house as they unloaded it

If I could give Joe and his crew 100 stars I would. We've moved eight times in the 20 years we've lived here in Santa Barbara. We wouldn't think of using anyone other than Joe and his boys. LoadStar Movers are all about dependability, trustworthiness, courtesy and hard work. Joe makes moving less stressful. He will give you a fair price quote, he is responsive and friendly too. ABSOLUTELY FIVE STARS. We used loadstar to move from Goleta to Thousand oaks area. We asked for a quote and got a response right away and Joe even set up a time to come take a look at the two bedroom one bath apartment. He is professional, friendly, and effective. He brought along a woman to also help assess our apartment as well as offered her packing skills to add to the package. We did not end up utilizing the packing, but she gave some great tips (keep clothes on hangers and wrap in blanket!)

Moving can be a traumatic experience when it comes to packing, moving, and unpacking a household. I had a good feeling as soon as I met Joe Vaccaro when he came to give me an estimate. The first people I met were the women who did all of the packing. They were very efficient and extremely professional in how they packed and wrapped things. Not an item was broken. The movers were also outstanding - very kind and conscientious. They worked several hours overtime and were determined to get the work done. I would recommend LoadStar Movers for anyone who is considering moving.

We thought that a small (nine-pieces of furniture) move across town would give us the chance to test a moving company in anticipation of a larger move that we will be needing in a month, so we did just that a few days ago. There is NO QUESTION about who we will be choosing -- these guys were GREAT! Friendly, careful, professional in every way . . . we'll get them back for the large move coming up, for sure!

Professional, easy to work with and very nice and reliable!!! The owner was professional and standing by if any thing came up on the day of the move and the movers were so accommodating, friendly and hard working. Everything went as planned. Just used Joe and his team at LoadStar to move within Santa Barbara. Totally impressed with the service. They were organized & professional, they got the job done fast. Great communication before and during the move, so I knew what to expect in terms of packing and where stuff needed to go at the new place. The price was great and there were no surprises. Totally recommend these guys.

I have used LoadStar twice for commercial/business moves (I am talking heavy desks, file cabinets and boxes and boxes of materials) and at least once for a large household move. The moves went so well, I can't even remember how many times I have called on them.
Every time, I could not have wishes for a better experience. Moving is stressful and expensive. LoadStar was professional beyond belief. On time, extremely well-prepared, accommodate personal quirks and delivered everything in perfect condition. Joseph and his guys are simply the best.

I've used Loadstar twice now and have nothing but great things to say. They are beyond professional and can tackle any move.
My first move required them getting all my belonging up a tight stair case which didn't phase them. They also were able to get my huge out door table up on my upstairs patio with ease. Best moving company in town, hands down.
