I called DC Gates Experts after the springs on our garage door broke and both our vehicles were trapped inside with no way to open the door to the garage. DC Gates Experts was able to send Nick out the same day. Taking all precautions of Covid, Nick was able to get our door working again! This has to be a fake company. I called them on Monday for fence repair. They told me someone would come between 1-2. Someone call around 12:30 pm which caught me off guard but it was ok. Now this is when I should've seen the red flags. I get a call from a personal number that he is here for the fence repair. I come outside, he looks at my fence, doesn't take any measurements, and told me he will get back to me with a quote through email. The guy told me to text him with some of my information. They came immediately to check out my need and give me a quote on a price to replace my simple wood gate (price was high, but I wanted to get this done, so I accepted). That was a month ago. I've texted several times about setting a date to do the work. Was asked if I could wait until after Ramadan, which I said yes, "if you promise to actually come on May 13." I texted this morning (May 13) to see when he was coming, no response. So I called someone else. It has been 6 weeks since I initially said yes to their crazy quote. I'm not waiting any longer.

Didn't want to shell out the cast for a new one, but DC gates were able to fix it for us and at fraction of the cost for a new one. Can't tell you how much I appreciate them for the work.

I just had an amazing experience with Franky and the DC Gates Experts team. My garage door was getting stuck halfway up and I thought my springs needed to be replaced. Franky took time out of his busy day and scheduled an appointment with me for later the same day. He showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and what needed to be done.
Instead of trying to up sale and offer a more costly repair to fix my springs, he told me my springs were fine and my garage door was just misaligned and all the springs need is some tension added to them. He took care of the problem in less than 20 minutes

I contacted DC Gates Experts based of recommendation from my brother who used their services couple times in the past. The work they did and the way they communicated with me is what made me come here and share my experience so others in DC will know it is a great company. Amid from DC Gates Experts showed up and was a great service rep. He pointed out the things i knew were wrong and then showed me the other broken parts of the garage door. Overall 3 stars from me (7/2020). They were available on short notice which was nice and the garage was fixed quickly, but the cost was much higher than what I've paid in the past, and you don't find out until they're already at your house ready to address the repair ($30 evaluation fee if you don't end up using their service).
Had a pretty simple issue with our roll up garage door - the cables disconnected. Explained the issue over the phone and was told that they couldn't give me a price estimate for the seemingly standard fix. Ok fine, how bad could it be for the job

I like it when someone write 24/7 service and they come even if you called at 10:45 PM as I did. Wasn't able to toll down the shutter and was unable to secure the workshop. DC Gates experts could come to northeast in one hour. Arrived rolled down the shutter and locked it for us. Costs: $65 service fee, another $125 for the repair that as done. I thought it will end with a lot more.

4th of July evening. Any chance to find someone to come and repair our gate? I didn't think it will be possible. But did call few local companies in DC. And what do you know, DC Gates experts took our call for from emergency roll down shutter repair. We knew it is going to cost us a lot, after all it is July 4th emergency. But sometimes you just need to find the right people. Just a tiny piece of metal that stick out and prevented the shutter from rolling down. $95. That is all we paid for the service. On July 4th night! God bless America lollolololol.

Always choose carefully whether it's where to eat online (YELP) or whether the owner of a restaurant treats their employee's right. I actually do research stuff like that. I saw good reviews, & I noticed that their website said something to the effect of "don't just rush out & replace your existing door. Let us inspect it & see if it can be repaired." Fun to work with experts who can do multiple things. We just had enough of repairs of our barn doors and the gates. We just wanted something that will stop the need to call local company ever second week. And it is not just one company. We had one who serviced our drive way automatic gate, and another to service our barn doors. But not anymore. DC Gates experts changed all 3 arm motors, and since then everything is working beautifully. And one small but big extra: new arm motors can be connected to a smartphone. Make things a lot easier.

I think that Yelp is slowly becoming the most trusted place to get recommendations. I never thought o will be searching for a contractor on Yelp. But what do you know. Where other failed or ran away scared, DC Gates Experts jumped in. We own a warehouse with a really big sliding gate/door. Met with few technicians for estimations on repairing/replacing the motor. All were happy over the phone, and got scared after seeing the gate. DC Gates experts were bold over the phone and in real life. Measured the gate, sent me email with detailed estimation next morning and took the job.

I got a call from one of our tenants in Alexandria complaining that the overhead door is not opening and that he can't the car out of the garage. Quick search on Yelp for local overhead doors experts in DC area lead to DC Gates experts. Called and talked to Zed. Give us one hour he told me.
40 minutes later the tenant called to let me know that the car is out and that the door is back to normal. Battery issue...

I want to share with you a story about a gentleman name amed who got our gate fixed on the day on 4 of July. I can say that I could enjoy the holiday thanks to him. He drove to us on the holiday at 3 AM and helped us close and secure the big rolling gate that protect our warehouse. He really went a long way to help us secure the store and make the overhead door close so we can all go home and enjoy the holiday (if not for him we would work in Shifts to keep the place protected.

When I am working with a contractor, I expect the service I got from DC gates experts. It was such a pleasure to work with the experts (Yes the name is correct) from DC gates experts! I was in New York and needed a local company in DC that can install for one of our branches 2 roll down gates. DC Gates experts is the company I chose to hire. Needed garage door repairs. Got a recommendation about DC Gates experts from another contractor I used in the past but only do commercial jobs. And did not get disappointed! Very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Completed the service on first visit, and made our garage door work so quiet again without replacing the opener. Tip for anyone who use garage doors: Buy some silicon lubricant and spray the door every 3 or for months. You will see the difference right away.
