The Brick House Tile Company was established in 1984 in Keene, New Hampshire by Alice Toepfer and her son John. Alice, who turned 65 that year, had spent her life raising five boys and now wanted to create her own business. Alice and John experienced first hand the frustration of buying ceramic tile locally during remodeling projects, they knew that if people could see the exquisite tile choices available the tile would sell itself.
Located in a brick house built in 1860, Brick House Tile Co. has seven showrooms of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile displayed in a farm house setting complete with a barn where the manufacturing of Cider Press Tile takes place. This hand crafted tile is known for its crawling glazes that complement high fired tile.
The staff at Brick House is trained to assist in both the designing of your dream project and the installation processes involved, ensuring that you are satisfied with your tile for years to come. The greatest testament to the values set by Alice is the large amount of repeat business created over the past thirty years.

Jan and Vicki are great to work with. They gave great suggestions on tiles and were never pushy. They found the best tile for me, right down to the grout. I can't wait to see it on my kitchen walls!
They were professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I would work with them again and again. Brick House has a great selection and I especially liked the local, handmade tiles.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Brick House Tile in Keene is the first and often the only source I choose to explore for our home projects that require tile. The variety of tile is amazing. I always find tile there that will work well with my projects.
The first area that I visit is the "seconds room" where I have always found tile that works for my smaller projects. For larger jobs the variety is endless. Staff is always nearby to lend a hand in my search, and to suggest tile should I need their help selecting or designing with tile. It's the first and usually the only tile shop I ever visit. While many tile stores seem to cater more to contractors, Brick House Tile is a beautiful and user-friendly showroom for homeowners. There is a vast selection of tile, all organized in a logical way, with many sample installations. We worked primarily with Lisa, but all of the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful -- both from a design and a mechanical perspective. They were so patient and professional, even when I brought my small children with me -- setting out a table full of samples for ideas, letting me take tiles home to test out, and carrying everything to the car.
