Jon and his team came out after we found some mold in our basement. They were efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Not only did they fix all the trouble areas, they even discovered a few other issues with our basement and helped me think through options to fix (fixing gutters etc) They were so responsive and even came out (at no cost) when I had follow up questions. Their pricing was very reasonable and definitely felt this is a honest and trustworthy company that stands by their work. One of the best companies I have worked with since moving to VA. Excellent customer service, from estimate appointment scheduling to inspection. Jon was responsive over email, flexible to fit his visit within my schedule, and showed up masked. He was very pleasant and respectful, wearing shoe booties to prevent tracking in any dirt into my home. He carefully inspected my areas of concern, reassuring me that a mold issue was unlikely. He even went further to inspect common areas of trouble I hadn't thought. Let me just say. Everything happened at once and so fast! The storm, the damage and then the mold. I couldn't be happier with the heroes I've found to do the restoration in my home! Everyone was super nice and professional. Curtis kept me up to date on the work as it was happening and gave me important tips on how to prevent other mold problems. It was a pleasure working with everyone on the crew. Most importantly, of the three mold remediation companies I interviewed, only MoldGone was able to diagnose the extent of the mold. Had I gone with one of the other companies, the problem would have been hidden but not solved.

We just had an appointment with Joe from Moldgone and had a wonderful experience. Joe came to look at a small area outside our shower and determined it was a minor area impacted by condensation/ water from the shower that caused the small spot. He gave us two recommendations for products we could buy at Home Depot and did not charge us for the visit. The MoldGone rep, Jay, arrived at my house during the scheduled time. He walked around to the rooms that had a concerning smell and listened to my concerns. He was honest and said he doesn't see signs or smell of mold or mildew. He said he doesn't think we have any mold issues and doesn't feel we need to pay for further testing at this time. I didn't end up using their services, yet, but I wanted to comment on how positive it was communicating and dealing with Jon from MoldGone. He was very responsive over email answering questions and scheduling and came out within a week of me calling. He was then on time and ready to go at the appointed time, with his mask on. He was quick looking at the issue, but clearly knew his stuff and identified what he believed to be the issue, and didn't charge me a dime for his time and opinion. I had Jon come out to do a visual inspection b/c I wasn't sure if I had a mold issue (turns out I didn't, thankfully). He was very professional, not only in explaining his assessment, but also communicating to me a few hours prior to his arrival (slight deviation from planned arrival time). I recently received a quote from Joe from Moldgone for mold in my condo, and I was very happy and appreciative that he came out. Joe was very honest with me about my specific mold situation and that it was not of the type that needed an expensive remediation at this time (he recommended a cleaning solution I could use). I don't know of too many contractors that are this honest, and for something that could as costly and scary as mold, I am lucky that I picked out Joe. If I have any future mold issues in any of my rental properties or anyone in the family, Joe will be the first person I call.

Joe at MoldGone is a real hero. We had several water issues in our basement and despite the heavy demand for his services he made time to come out and look at our problems. He spent time assessing each issue and offering helpful advice about how to fix things even though he said we didn't need his services. And he didn't charge for this vital service. I had called several other companies who offered NO help or wanted to charge $250 just to come out and look at things. I STRONGLY recommend this company!!!! j Joe is the best!

I called MoldGone because of the reviews on Yelp and they lived up to the expectations. They came out for a consultation on mold my home inspector had identified. In about 30 seconds they were able to identify the mold, the cause, and provided a DIY solution. ServiceMaster would have burned my house down to get rid of the mold and charged me $10,000 to do it.
I'm very grateful MoldGone was honest about how to mitigate the mold, provide in-depth knowledge on mold and my basement, and then charge me HALF of their usual fee

Mike just finished checking my home for mold and spent time explaining how to spot mold and prevent it moving forward. Luckily he only found one small spot in my basement with mold and give me great information on how to handle the situation myself.
