Mark Cunningham has been in the landscape trade since 1988. Over the years he has developed designs and installations around a "form follows function" philosophy. Mark considers seasonal bloom times, ph balances, drainage, light requirements, and so on, as they all have a direct influence on the outcome of a design.

Softscape is essentially the living and animated part of the landscape such as trees, shrubs, plants, soil, flowerbeds, mulch, grass, and more. While softscaping may sound, theoretically, like the less important landscape design element, it is anything but.
Hardscape is the term used to describe solid, hard elements that tend to remain the same for many years. This includes landscape design elements such as walkways, retaining walls, rocks, pavers, driveways, arbors, gates, outdoor kitchens, decks, water features, and more. Hardscaping is more than simple landscaping because it involves construction.

Mark did a great job on our project! He listened to our needs and created a plan to overhaul our front yard landscaping. He was easy to work with, and was responsive to our questions. Mark is extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. Our new landscaping looks amazing and I’m so excited to see how the design looks as the plants mature! Also, he put in over and beyond service and problem solving in making sure our old lighting system was functioning properly at the end of the project.

The first project Mark did for us improved our yard tremendously. The landscaping, rock work and lighting was perfect. We couldn't wait to ask him to come back and do the lighting and a native plant bed in front of our home. From concept, review through execution, we have been more than pleased with his skilled, creative work. We will be coming back for more as we update the dated landscaping at our century old home.

Working with Mark on our front yard project was a pleasant and professional experience. Mark was attentive to the details of our project and very patient with us. He made himself available to us for consult on ideas and was very easy to reach by phone or text to discuss or answer questions. He was willing to meet us on weekend to look for rocks and mulch options to accommodate our schedule. The design and install looks amazing and we are overall very happy with our final look.
