Sanford & Hawley

The total customer experience was wonderful. From ordering to pickup was easy. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service along with quality products.

I called and spoke with someone about getting my old countertops removed, and new quartz installed.
He said they do that and they have a showroom, I should come visit.
He then routed me to "Kitchens" so I could leave a message, which I did.
I went down to take a look and was given a sample, and my information was taken again.
I never heard from this business EVER!
I ended up going with Granite Kitchens Studio in South WIndsor.
They not only called back, I had an appintment the next day, and I've left a deposit for my Pental Quartz countertops.

This place is a joke and a waste of

Office staff is helpful when asked or needed..
Receiving is top notch, efficient and professional.
I'm in and out 20 to 30 mins..

We placed an order for lumber over the phone and scheduled it for delivery a couple of days later. Big mistake! Perhaps if we had gone to the lumber yard to hand select our boards we would have found some good quality lumber. As it was, most of the lumber that they delivered to us was scrap. It was obviously the left behinds that no one else wanted either! We sent almost all of it back with the driver. When I called the store to tell them how disappointed and disgusted I was with what they sent, the clerk acted like he really didn't care. There was no apology, no offer to send out something

Very expensive re-seller of construction materials. If you have the time drive to home depot where you can purchase materials for 40 percent less. If you are in avon and are in a pinch you're stuck with this place

My girlfriend and I stopped there this afternoon with a list of materials we need to build railings for our new deck; waiting for someone to come to the front desk and talk to us took longer than the actual exchange between us. We were essentially told that they don't carry railing materials (this is a "building supplies store", correct?), handed a catalog, and sent on our way. This place is a joke. We took our business to East Haven Building Supply.

I previously posted a review which was incorrect and I am back here to apologize.

I have been making many purchases from many different stores in the Manchester through Windham area since purchasing a home in Mansfield.

Some of the receipts look the same and the amounts of the purchases are similar and what I thought was one thing, ended up not being that thing at all.

With that being said, I have no gripe with Sanford & Hawley and the purchase I made from them is standing up to be a good purchase. I purchased a oak door sill, the customer service person at the counter was very friendly

Excellent family owned lumber yard. I love going here. instead of home depot. Everyone is very skilled and helpful. Make sure to ask Joe at the counter about his ufo experience, it's a funny story to hear

I went in to Sanford & Hawley Inc to order some windows for a porch remodel. The store was empty except for several employees that I could see milling around in the back offices.

I stood at the front desk for 7 minutes waiting for someone to notice me. I could tell that someone had seen me but still no one came out for several more minutes. When someone finally came out there was no apology of any kind. I was pretty pissed off but i didn't let it show.

I felt like I was twisting this clerks arm to show me the windows they had in stock. They have real self-important attitudes
