Originally designed in part by renowned landscape architect Thomas Church in the 1940s, Parkmerced is a 150-acre apartment community located near Lake Merced in San Francisco. Kikuchi Kankel Design Group has maintained an ongoing relationship with Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Carlos since 1996, commencing with landscaping to improve their visibility and "curb appeal."
Kikuchi+Kankel Design Group has continued to work on this project site for over a decade, as owner changes, lifestyles and needs have evolved. Responding to our clients' love for the style of a Japanese Garden, Kikuchi + Kankel Design Group developed designs for this 1 acre site over a 3 phase, 15 year period of time.
