Founded in 2007, Beautiful Habitat is an award-winning, Denver-based interior design firm dedicated to the belief that your home should be more than just a physical dwelling. It should provide a deep sense of comfort, support, and joy. For nearly fifteen years, I've been transforming spaces across Colorado into beautiful habitats.
With an eye for unexpected- but uniquely balanced- colors, patterns, and texture and a vision to draw-out a rooms hidden function, I strive to leave my clients living in style and comfort. After studying interior design in London, I fell in love with the way history informs contemporary life. My work combines classic European design juxtaposed with the casual airy feel of my Colorado roots and my personal sense of eclectic adventure.

I was struggling with putting the ideas in my head on paper and didn't even know what I didn't know about options for our home. I had never worked with a designer and didn't know what to expect. The experience and final design are so much better than I expected! I feel you really took the time to get to know my husband and I to create the PERFECT design.
There are 15 steps in 4 phases and regardless of the project's size or scope, we always follow the same process. We believe this process ensures that your experience of working with Beautiful Habitat is as wonderful as the home we design for you. We rely on experience, expertise and systems to complete projects on time, on budget, with consistently pleasing results.
We start with a phone conversation to gather initial information and determine if Beautiful Habitat may be able to meet your design needs. If we both agree to move forward, we will schedule a Home Design Review. This is a 90-minute in-home consultation to assess your needs and provide direction for your project.

Beautiful Habitat helped us design a master bathroom remodel. Tennille listened to all our wants and was able to suggest other improvements that worked well. She was always professional and reliable. Tennille saved me so much time and energy, I wish I'd asked for her help ages ago! I just bought a new place and was quickly overwhelmed by all the design/decorating decisions I needed to make - furniture, paint, tile, hardware, lights, etc. We couldn't meet in person, so Tennille looked at photos of my old apartment and the new space and quickly identified a 'theme' that will help keep me pointed in the right direction while I 'feather my nest'. Tennille did an outstanding job with our home remodel. What I liked most is that she listened to what we wanted and designed something unique to our tastes and needs, so our home doesn't look like all the others and will not immediately look out of date as design trends change. Tennille listened to everything we wanted in our kitchen/dining room/living room remodel and took the dated 70s space, and transformed it into our dream home. We never doubted her, and every idea she brought to us was perfect, down to the placement of the artwork on the walls! She was professional throughout the entire process, and always easy to get a hold of. She kept us up to date on the progress of the project, and we were always in the loop. Plus, the cherry on top, we stayed on time, and on budget!

We've known Beautiful Habitat owner and designer, Tennille Wood, for many years and were excited to hear about her design business when we returned to the Denver area. Tennille was very helpful initially with decorating suggestions when we purchased our home, so we contacted her when we wanted to do a few update/ remodel projects.
There are no projects that are "too small" or low budget for this business and each client is given the same devoted attention. They contract with very experienced, reliable trade people and come to the site regularly to be sure the job is going as planned!

My wife and I worked with Tennille and her team after we moved to a new home in 2018. It started as a living room project, but we ended up working with Beautiful Habitat for several other rooms as well. Tennille was a great resource for colors/fabric and furniture and really transformed our home. We love the end product!
In our case we did order custom draperies and custom furniture which took extra time for delivery. More than expected. That was the only hiccup, and more on the subcontractors than Tennilles team.

Tennille initially worked up a kitchen remodel and then I asked her to help with the entire house design when I popped the top and excavated the basement. She is a genius with period architecture, (my house is circa 1909) color, furniture and window treatments. People are awestruck at the interior design work.
