Growing up on the water meant that boating wasn't just a weekend activity, it was a lifestyle. And when you live and breathe something the way I do, it becomes as familiar as an old friend. I've been water skiing and surfing for as long as I can remember. My childhood is marked by early mornings on the lake, when the air is crisp and cool but the water is comfortably warm.
Marine Grade Sealant and manufacturer recommended cleaning agent (we recommend using 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4200 or similar). Manufacturer recommended cleaning agent to clean up any excess adhesive from gel coat. Note: Acetone will damage the surface of Powder-Coated finishes and should not be used on that version of the underwater light, but is an effective cleaning agent for anodized finishes.
No. High voltage lights inherently generate radiant heat. Underwater, this heat is easily dispersed; however, above water, heat is retained and lights may be warm/hot to the touch. All Liquid Lumens lights have an internal thermal safety switch designed to shut off if excessive temperatures are reached.
In order to increase power we use a custom DC-DC driver designed to boost the standard 12V power supply in your boat. By creating the opportunity for higher voltage, we are able to install a more powerful underwater LED. Our powerful underwater LEDs allow us to generate more lumens than are typically supported by a normal 12V system.

I am a boat owner and on the side of my full-time job, I do some independent contract work for a local boat dealer & service center where I live. Once in a while they ask me to help with installing aftermarket lights and accessories on their customer’s boats. I’ve installed several sets of Liquid Lumens’ various boat light products and must say they are impressive! They are the brightest lights I’ve seen of all the brands I’ve handled or installed. They are well built, high quality and just crazy bright performance. The company is great to work with whenever I have questions during installations
