The Hyland Studio
All of our stained glass and leaded art is custom ordered and built by hand to meet and exceed your expectations. We are an eclectic mix of artisans, craftsmen and craftswomen, designers, artists and out-of-the-box thinkers. We are old and young, straitlaced and a little bit out-there. We enjoy the traditional and the unique equally.

Our purpose is to create new stained glass and leaded glass art for your enjoyment and restore the old to it's original glory. We love what we do and have since 1980. Since 1980, the glass artisans of The Hyland Studio have been creating custom hand-made stained glass, leaded glass and etched glass art.

Our creations include windows, doors, sidelights, transoms, partitions, counters, cabinets, domes, skylights and nearly any type of artistic glass application you can dream up. Our work can be found in the finest homes as well as businesses and churches throughout the U.S. We are also expert in the repair and restoration of stained glass for churches, historical structures and others.
Services
Stained glass is the general term for small pieces of glass made into a panel using H shaped metal came (channel). The caming is usually lead but can be zinc, copper or brass for some designs. A putty is used to seal where the glass meets the came. Leaded glass is the same as stained glass but we use clear or clear textured glass, no color (or very little color).
One of the most spectacular uses for either stained glass or leaded glass is the creation of a Dome. Our Domes come in any shape or size. We install LED lighting above these so you can control the light. The term "leaded glass" refers to a panel made the same as a stained glass panel but done so with clear & clear textured glass.
Diamond Light windows and panels are one of the most popular leaded glass designs we create. In 2012, a new Columbarium building was constructed along side the existing Columbarium from 1898, located at 1 Loraine Ct in San Francisco. We initially thought this window might have been an original Tiffany due to the age and style, not to mention the incredible workmanship.

I had a broken piece of glass in my front door at a rental. I called up Hyland Studio and sent them a few pictures. I spoke with Tom and to my pleasant surprise they had the glass to match in my door. Hyland Studio was very professional, timely and efficient. I will definitely use them again.

I know of no other company that can do the work that Hyland Studio does. They produce incredible works of art. Each one of the people working there pour their heart and soul into every piece. Their work continues to amaze me. I have one of their pieces in my kitchen and everyone that comes to my home has nothing but great things to say about how it brings color and light into the room.

Here's my story... My grandmother passed away and left me a very old cast iron side table with a beautiful engraved glass top. The table was located in Arizona and I am in San Jose. The table was taken to the UPS Store to have carefully shipped to me. The UPS Store screwed up and packaged a CAST IRON table in the same box as the piece of GLASS... and needless to say one item didn't survive the shipping process. Luckily we had take insurance out on the item...

Anyway about Hyland Studios...

I had to get a quote for the glass to get the insurance. After going around to several glass
