Joe and the whole team team at Hudson Hardwood Floors did the impossible to fix a water damaged floor in my kitchen and made it look better than it ever has! Joe was always responsive when I had questions and made sure that I knew what step the team was on throughout the entire process. Joe did a fantastic job re-sanding and staining our previously (very) red cherry wood floors (with many scuffs and markings) into beautiful dark brown Jacobean floors. Joe was very prompt in completing the work, keeping us in the loop with updates of the project, and providing us useful advice regarding floor maintenance. He was also very flexible in adjusting the scope of our project and extending wood refinishing to our floating staircase. We highly recommend Hudson Hardwood Floors and will definitely reach out to them if we ever need any additional work in the future. Five stars.

We bought a new house with ugly carpet over linoleum. We didn’t want to live with that and wanted hardwoods ASAP before moving in! Joe Hudson was quick to give ballpark pricing, responsive to come take a look at the place, shared his honest opinions about linoleum (just install over it!), and was the only vendor we talked to in a very tough market who said he could start right away. He encouraged me to save money by removing the carpet myself, communicated with us throughout the project, added little changes and additions I came up with after starting without nickel and diming me on change orders

Joe has the best communication skills I have ever come across within the past 30 years dealing with contractors. He fit me into his schedule while I was dealing with an air conditioner leak that required almost all of our den floor to be torn out and replaced. He sent 6 men to work on it during the first day and finished the floor a day and a half earlier than expected. His crew is hardworking, neat and cleaned up at the end of each day. Renato was able to match the new flooring with the old using a natural finish. It looks Beautiful ! I plan to use Joe's company, Hudson Hardwood Floors, again

Joe and his team did a fantastic job. They had a big task of tackling my original hardwood which was painted on ages ago. Not only did they get everything sanded, finished, and sealed, but you'd never guess the atrocity of paint that once lay on my hardwood floors. Additionally, they did a great job of filling in a few holes in the hardwood, fixing up the trim, adding matching pine treads to my steps, and making an entirely new pine landing. A+ work from these guys.

Hudson Hardwood (Joe Hudson and team) removed our existing flooring which was showing serious signs of trouble. The team worked out issues in the subfloor to install unfinished white oak that was then sanded, stained and finished. Hudson Hardwood also worked with us on a custom landing/mud room area with material of our choice and replaced our powder room tile. The finished product is excellent with the wood floor showcasing what Joe called a "museum like finish".
This was a significant project and Joe was responsive the entire time to any questions or concerns we had. I would highly recommend

We asked a lot from Hudson Hardwood and Joe and his team delivered all of that and then some. First, the floors are gorgeous and Joe talked us through each stop of the process, what to expect and answered each and every question we had, which were numerous. We were disappointed in our existing floors that were installed as part of the rehabbed home we purchased just over 3 years ago. Every other contractor we talked to seemed to only have confusing answers to the issue but Joe laid out a plan. Joe's team then removed that material, worked on the subfloor and then installed amazing hardwood

I absolutely loved working with Joe on our new floors. From the second we first talked I knew our project would be in good hands. He is super knowledgeble, professional, and attentive. Our new condo had absolutely horrific original thin oak floors before Joe's team laid down our new hardwood flooring. All I can say is WOW! Joe and his team did an AMAZING job restoring hardwood floors in a home we recently purchased. Joe and his team are amazing! They installed new hardwood flooring and quarter round trim throughout our entire house & stairs and we couldn't be happier with the results. I knew after a few minutes talking with Joe Hudson that he was going to be my choice to install my new floors. All the others paled in comparison, especially in his quick responsiveness to my submit for a quote and any other questions I had along the way. I had my living room, dining room, powder room, coat closet and top basement step done. They worked from morning into the night and got everything done in one day. My wife and I moved into a newer construction home with very poorly built and maintained engineered flooring. Our sub-floor was warped and loose all throughout, causing an uneven wave like effect with tons of creaking.
This was by far the most involved home improvement project we had been a part of (demo of floors, repair leaking doorway, level sub-floors, adjust appliance heights on new sub-floor, installation of new flooring).

I was lucky enough to find Joe Hudson and his crew after attempting to redo the floors in my South Philly row home myself. I blew through the old carpeting no problem, but the ancient laminate and prehistoric adhesive under it were winning a war of attrition on my body and soul.
Enter Joe. He takes one look at the black adhesive covered floor and gives me an easy smile. "No problem."
They were able to fit me in to their busy schedule to accommodate my rapidly upcoming move into the new house, and recommended that I redo the stairs up to the floors as well to make it all match

We could not be happier with Hudson Hardwood Flooring. We needed work throughout our house - lots of patchwork from walls we tore down, new flooring installed in the kitchen that needed to match the rest of the room, and every room and the stairs sanded and stained. The work is IMPECCABLE. The new floor matches the old floor perfectly and it's impossible to see where the patchwork was done. I have no idea how he was able to match new flooring to floors that were installed 60 years ago - be he did it seamlessly.
