Sarkis Kish's 46 years of experience began working with his late uncle Zaven A. Kish at Goldsmith's Department Store in downtown Memphis. The Kish family celebrates its Armenian heritage in their business. In 2000, Sarkis and Sarko sponsored the exhibition A Splendid Heritage: The Inscribed Rugs of Armenia at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
The exhibit, held in conjunction with the Armenian Rugs Society Symposium, featured rare and one-of-a-kind rugs from the Kish store. Dr. Arman Kirakossian, the Armenian Ambassador to the US, attended the grand opening. Sarkis Kish, Jr. has traveled to Armenia every year since 1996.

Not all area rugs are the same. They have different characteristics that dictate how they are cleaned-one size does not fit all! At Sarkis, each rug is handled individually and we adapt our unique cleaning processes to each rug. Textiles, tapestries, and wall hangings, require careful hand-cleaning and care to extend their life and structural integrity.

I purchased three rugs from Sarkis Kish. I couldn't be happier. Installation was efficient, competent, friendly. Sarko and Grace were intuitive in sensing what I wanted. Sarko is always gracious, always kind; I felt no pressure whatsoever; I never felt like I was on the receiving end of a sales pitch. The rugs are exquisite works of art---the foundation of my condo. I am quite satisfied.

Very poor customer service, damaged a rug they had stored and cleaned but refused to take responsibility. Owner was condescending and could only make excuses for why it was not their fault......rug was in perfect condition prior to Kish, I even sent photos showing exactly where the problems in the rug were, yet he still refused to accept any responsibility.
