SSC Spalding Concrete

Spalding Concrete Company was established as a family owned business in 1946. During the 1950's through the 1960's SCC was a large concrete construction company specializing in swimming pools that were built for cities, clubs and homeowners throughout the southeast. They were also a local asphalt producer and paving company.

The longevity of asphalt paved areas such as driveways, streets, and parking lots can be prolonged through prompt patching and repair of cracks, potholes, and other damage. As with paving, to insure an asphalt patch is structurally solid, it is crucial to do proper base work after the damaged asphalt is removed.

We repair cracks in pavement or asphalt with hot rubberized crack filling. Hot rubberized filler will typically last longer than cold fillers because of it's superior flexibility. Hot filler expands and contracts with changes in temperature and is, therefore, less likely to fail. Cracks in asphalt are generally caused by poor installation, the penetration of water or the frequent expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes.

Grading and basework is a critical foundational part of asphalt paving. Grading and base work in Georgia requires the correct asphalt mixture to create a solid foundation.
