My wife and I moved and Catlow movers were exceptional. They held to the quoted price. There were no billing surprises as I have had with other moving companies. The movers took care to secure everything. They were efficient and professional. I wouldn't use anyone else.

My wife and I have moved 4 times in the past 4 years and Catlow was the best moving company by far. Even if they hadn't quoted the best price, which they did, they'd be worth a premium. They arrived early, took great care to wrap our furniture and secure all our belongings, worked super fast - the move was completed two hours ahead of schedule - and didn't try and nickel and dime us. They were professional and friendly. I can't recommend them high enough.

Way to go! Carlow made a very stressful move go super smooth. They actually called a little ahead of schedule to ask if they could move me earlier in the day. Absolutely yes. They arrived in minutes, packed my furniture and all my boxes and had me in my new condo under 2 hours. Everything was blanketed and wrapped. The bumps or dings. Staff was very professional. Highly recommended.

I truly cannot imagine an easier, more seamless, low-stress move than the experience we had last weekend with Catlow Movers. The owner himself came out a few weeks ahead to check out the apartment and give us an accurate quote. I had gotten multiple quotes and his was right in line with what I had hoped/expected, and significantly lower than some of the others I had received. When he left, my husband and I knew we had made a great decision. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Really helped take the stress out of moving. Took apart the king size bed, put it back together. I thought the job was gonna take 3-4 hours, they did it in 2. Meaning they arrived at 8am, and were out at 10am, even with parking and travel.
Before your move date, I highly recommend you contact your local parking authority to get "No Parking" signs beforehand, and consolidate as much stuff into as few boxes / bags as possible. (Extra large trash bags can come in really handy.). Pre-pack as much as you can 2-3 weeks in advance too

I just moved from a high rise to an upstairs apartment and Catlow executed both settings perfectly. The president of the high rise even said they should be the prime example for all moving companies in how orderly and respectful they all are. Mark has been great since day one. The crew is funny and personable and VERY into what they do. The price was fair and they definitely deserved what they asked for. It would have been nice to know that the estimate based on the hourly rate was a minimum at the onset, but the way these guys work, how professional they are, and how careful they are... and especially

I moved four years ago from Weehawken to Jersey City and had a very positive experience with Catlow, so I hired them again this past week to move me into my new home. There were again punctual, professional, and personable. All of my belongings got to the new place, nothing was damaged, and I was charged exactly what I was quoted. I hope to not move again for a very long time, but if I do I will definitely hire them again. Moving is stressful but these guys make the process soooo much easier!

I've used Catlow Movers twice (Fall 2016, May 2017), and I very highly recommend. They are a multi-generation family-owned business right in JC Heights. Mark Catlow is just such a decent guy, their crews are great, he came by personally both times to check on the jobs, great communication throughout from the time of booking til the job is done, and their prices are competitive. I will definitely use them again for any moving jobs.

My appointment was at 8 am and there were 2 trucks ready at 7:50am.
There were 5 or six men, ready to work. Not once did they complain, huff of puff, all they asked was *Do you want us to take that? How about this? Do not lift that! We will take your fridge if you do not tell us not to..*
They handled each piece of furniture with care. Moving can be so stressful, but due to their calm vibe, it was the best move I had EVER experienced.
Best of all? They were FAST!
They started moving around 8:30 (had to wait for the cops to remove some cars so they could park) and they had me in my new place

While I did not use Catlow for our move, however they were one of the people I asked for a quote and the experience was great.
The reason we did not use Catlow was because we needed a moving company that will pack up all of our stuff and Mark and his crew did not offer such a service.
However, the consultation was great...Mark was a really friendly and honest guy; he was straight up about his pricing and his pricing WAS THE CHEAPEST of the 3 movers we priced out.
If you are looking for a mover that you can trust, I would suggest giving Mark & Catlow's Movers a try.

Mark and his team handled a move today from Jersey City, two hours down the Turnpike to South Jersey. They were on time, professional, flexible, careful and a pleasure to work with. I've rarely used yelp for reviewing anything other than comida aka food! But Catlow deserves a tipping of the hat and a call back for whenever the next move may be!
Certainly professional and timely and quick! I moved out of a 3 bedroom in JC and despite the fact that there were no parking signs put up by the parking authority, of course there's always going to be one that doesn't heed notices! Thankfully, their professionalism and commitment to getting the job done made them park 2 houses down and carry all of my furniture there! Patient? Without a doubt!
