Totally worth it. We had Harley and his crew work on our first home - an older Craftsman. The previous owners did a horrible job with an uneven orange peel texture. And under all of that was lead paint. Harley's estimate was pretty transparent and his office did a great job communicating with us throughout the project.

Highly recommend Harley and his team. We read all the great reviews on Yelp and after meeting Harley my husband felt very comfortable and confident that he was the right choice (also met and had quotes from 2 other painters). Besides the excellent exterior painting, we had a lot of siding and fascia that was replaced due to dry rot and termite damage and Harley showed his excellent craftsmanship in carpentry. They were always on time and cleaned up after each day. Always kept us informed to what he was doing and ready to offer solutions. A thank you also to Kacie for the emails.

If you're ready for a REAL paint job, call Harley. Our 1927 Spanish bungalow needed a fresh coat of paint. But it also needed a power wash, stucco patching/repairing, and lots of window care. And Harley did it all.
The attention that goes into prepping the home is critical, and Harley didn't miss a thing. Every window (all original) was taped, sanded and prepped. It's not a fast process (about two weeks), but the quality shows. And as a bonus, some windows that haven't opened for a decade now operate perfectly.

If you can book Harley and his team...don't think twice and they would be worth the wait
Thorough, professional, quick, and tidy, they stand by their work offering to come back and do touch ups.
Harley (himself) and his team have now painted two houses that I've lived in, the 2nd both inside and out and both homes look amazing. Both houses get compliments from total strangers walking by, as well as pros who know what a great paint job is.
They also clean up after themselves and are very conscientious.
Always careful to mask everything off with the correct tape no less!!

Harley and his team do the most professional and impeccable work of any painter I have ever had. Add their incredible carpentry skills, and his work is well worth the cost. I have used him for two projects: a den with knotty pine wainscotting, and an outside deck's metal spiral staircase and wooden deck railings. The knotty pine had to be specially treated to paint it white - you can't have the knots "bleeding" through the paint. I had experienced that in my kitchen. The wainscotting looks brand new and smooth because, among other things, they caulked between each panel

Worth every penny. We had a house that had seen better times. Both the previous owners and then us had deferred fixing things for way too long and some parts of the house were at a tipping point.
HDC rebuilt some window frames, repaired others, replaced rotted rafter tails, removed outdated tile and fixed endless amounts of stucco. THEN they painted the house immaculately- it looks like a whole new house.
They communicated well and every single detail was taken care of. I'm also in the construction industry and I kept a running punch list of things to be done... which I never had

Harley, the owner of HDC Paint, and his crew were excellent in protecting the rooms they worked in. They moved what was in the way and covered everything with plastic sheeting. They sanded, patched, restored and painted old, neglected window sills and frames, making them look new! Harley was always there working with his experienced crew and available to answer any questions. They came and left when they said they would, were friendly, personable and kept us fully informed. We highly recommend this company.

I started out having them patch up big holes around the base of my home and know I call them anytime I need something done. They have been very honest about their abilities to get the job done. Harley and his crew did an amazing job in record time for me. They really cared about doing the job right and did it in a way that saved me a significant amount of money repainting my office. Most painters said that it was not possible to touch up the paint, that everything needed repainted on a complicated space with very tall ceilings. Harley was confident that because the original paint was flat not eggshell it would not be a problem, and he was right. The end result looks great, I couldn't be happier.

Harley has done both of my houses. The projects should really be characterized as restorations rather than maintenance. One of the houses was a severely neglected Streamline Moderne bungalow in Santa Monica's Sunset Park. The results have been simply amazing. I just completed my 3rd job with Harley and per usual, it was excellent. Harley and HDC painting deliver every time. He gives you the truth about any situation he comes across and doesn't just cover it up for it to become a bigger issue. Absolutely someone you can trust in your home. The price is fair and very reasonable for the quality of work provided. I received cheaper quotes but they didn't include the prep work as well as attention to detail provided by HDC. They are also very skilled at construction jobs and ended up replacing a lot of damaged wood, exterior balconies, etc

I found Harley on yelp and after I spoke to him on the phone I cancelled my other appointment because I had a good feeling about his integrity . We met in person to go over the job and he was knowledgable , sweet and professional and we knew we were I good hands . He painted our vacant condo and repaired a lot of minor extras. He's probably not your very bottom bid but your very best painter choice . A lovely man .

Harley will do the job right, every time! He built a backyard shed that was such excellent work, a person could live in it. He pounded in interlocking pavers with a rubber mallet so he wouldn't break any, and repaired the sprinklers for free. He is totally trust-worthy, cleans up after himself. I just had HDC Painting complete some interior painting in my condo including a 20 foot high stairwell, some doors and a bathroom, as well as refinishing a banister. I must say that Harley and his crew (Mark and Carlos) were super-friendly and excellent to work with!
