David Pickard, the owner and operator, has been a carpenter in the construction and garage door business since 1967.
David worked side by side his father building garage doors and installing openers until his father retired. Since the 1960's, David has worked as a carpenter building houses and began his lifelong specialization in custom building and installing cabinets in the kitchens of million dollar homes. In 1989, David continued in the family tradition and decided to open up our company, Automated Garage Door Systems in Riverside, CA.

If you need to replace wood door jambs that are dry rotted or termite infested, lower headers, or require custom woodwork needed on the house to accommodate a new garage door, we have what it takes.

David Sr installed a door for us more than 20 years ago. It has served us very well till recently. Unfortunately I lost contact with David when i had to have it serviced a couple of times. Long story shortened ....door opener installed by someone else malfunctioned and wrecked the door. I found David's tel no again.. called him and he and his son installed a very good door and door opener ... whole system . They did a very good job and once again i have a door system that will last a long time. Their knowledge, work ethic and expertise is the benchmark when it comes to garage opener systems. Very

We have been with Automated Garage Doors for well over 20yrs. Dave has always treated us great, and does professional work. Dave will go out of his way to make sure that the customer is satisfied and happy before he leaves. If a issue arises, Tammy, Dave’s wife, will do her best to get Dave out that same day. Dave and Tammy were a treasure to work with. It is rare to find a company so genuine. They are both incredibly helpful and wonderful people. If my parents ever need garage door work again at their home, I will be calling Dave again. My parents live in Riverside and had their garage door come off the rails. Not trusting anybody, I made the drive up before giving Automated a call. They made the whole situation a breeze and had the (bent!) rail repaired in no time. Next time I have any issues, I can save my drive to Riverside and just give them a call because I know they'll treat my parents well without

Contractor David hand built 3 Redwood Garage Doors at my house in my garage from scratch. I live in the Historical District in Riverside my house was built in 1921. David matched the architecture of my house to my new garage doors. David has been my garage door man since yr 2002. I highly Recommend Automated Garage Door Systems for Installations & Repairs. He is dependable & I trust him enough to leave him alone at my house while we are away at work. Very nice company to deal with.
