Magnetite windows were invented by an energy physicist named Ken Foster in the 1970's. He was commissioned and funded by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to find a way to insulate the windows in high rise buildings from the inside. From the beginning, he knew that using acrylic was going to be part of the solution, but had tried many fastening systems before one night he woke from a dream and went to his kitchen for a snack.
Since 2014, Magnetite windows have been featured on the Travel Channel show Hotel Impossible 3 times. Each time, these acrylic window solutions have helped hotel owners increase their guests comfort by installing Magnetite windows.
