Quincy Rug Works was established in 1926 as a carpet weaving company located on Maine St. and later moved to Eighth and Monroe. As time went by, oriental and area rug cleaning became the primary business. When wall-to-wall carpet became popular, Quincy Rug Works began cleaning in customer's homes. Over the years, several methods of cleaning were used, the modern method being hot water extraction, commonly known as "steam cleaning".

This method is the preferred method recommended by all major manufacturers. Furniture cleaning, commercial carpet cleaning, and walk off mat services were added to Quincy Rug Works services. Past owners of Quincy Rug Works were, Art and Marion Brown and their son Nelson. In 1990, Richard and Jennifer Bliven and their sons Rich Jr. and Michael purchased the business.

I cannot say enough good things about Quincy Rug Works! They came to our home quickly. The crew was very courteous to my mom's chemical sensitivities. They went above and beyond with their work! They stayed later than planned to get the job done. They were very polite. Our carpets and furniture look amazing!

Quincy Rug Works exceeded our expectations. Kevin was very accommodating to answer all of my questions when I called to schedule and his pricing is very affordable. Poor cleaning job and doesn’t appear the stairs were cleaned but did get charged for all. The crew tracked dirt and grass in and left it on our clean tile floors. They apologized but didn’t remediate the situation. Carpet cleaning is limited in Quincy but quality isn’t worth compromising.

I needed some carpet cleaned and I needed it done quickly. I called and was taken care of within 24 hours. And they did an awesome job. I wasn't for sure if they would be able to get them clean or I was going to have to replace them altogether. But they came in and exceeded my expectations. Thanks

Had them clean both our home and business and they are awesome! Best in the area! Left the carpets looking brand new and almost dry and smelling great!
