Unlike commercial soap and bath products, our Handmade Natural Soap Bars are made from the chemical reaction between the water, lye (sodium hydroxide), and oils and fats. These oil and fats are turned in glycerine and soap by the chemical process named 'saponification'. The process, when done rightly, leaves you with the pure soap, and residue from natural ingredients in an individual recipe.

Services
The Soap Shack is a family owned and operated business started in early 2013 by Tiffany and James Meek. We believe in using ingredients with a purpose, we research every ingredient we use in our products to ensure it has a reason to be included as well as ensure it meets our high standards. Our products are NEVER tested on animals, NO Phthalates, NO Parabens, NO Sulfates, NO Triclosan.
All of our incense are hand dipped in our shop by us. We hand dip all of our incense in high grade steam distilled essential oils or high quality cosmetic grade fragrances where essential oils are not possible. All our incense are hand dipped in small batches to get an even saturation of our oils. We use activated carbon on bamboo for our sticks, This allows for the intended scent to burn off instead of smelling burnt wood from the stick.
Looking for lather? The search is over as our natural handmade soap is formulated to give you a nice big fluffy lather and hold its scent for the life of your bar. You can count on natural ingredients and a lasting bar of soap. We use a combination of Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter in our soaps.

Went in for the first time the other day and they had a pretty good variety of soaps, lotions, lip balms, bath bombs etc. The price for one soap is over $6.00. A little pricey but they do offer small slivers of sample soaps which is pretty nice. One thing I was disappointed was the lady barley said hi to me and she didn't even ask me for help. I don't know if she thought maybe I wasn't a serious buyer but I did end up buying over $40 worth of products. I just feel that if your a small business trying to survive in a small community, you should try to make a first good impression

Apparently the person I was traveling with read online that anything with the old label was 50% off. I felt like her quest was to buy out all of the old labels to save a buck. We bought bath bombs, lip balm, salt srub, shave bar, bar shampoo and several soap bars. So far our favorites are Gin & Tonic and Love Potion. Can't wait to share the gifts we bought our family and friends. Jill was very friendly and knew her products.
