You will be billed at least $100 for the first visit even if it's for 5 minutes, a service fee... that they oddly refuse to call a service fee. Hourly rate is $100/per hr. O'Laughlin was great about communicating the billing rate and minimum fee up front. What's not defined up front is what they deem "Labor". Labor to O'Laughlin means time spent at your house, ordering parts back at the office, and drive time... and they apparently take the looong way home. Don't be surprised when your labor bill is double or triple what you thought it would be.

We have lived in our older Winona home for 16 years and have used the plumbing services of O'Laughlin many times, always with great end results and courtesy and good work ethic while the work was being done. From the office personnel to the professionals in our home, we have been consistently satisfied with this company and plan to continue calling them for any further plumbing needs we might have.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with them. I was disrespected by the owner. He could not even look me in the eye when explaining my issue. Spit while he spoke to me, and when I asked if my yard would be seeded or sodded after the job, he kicked the grass and inquired, "you call this a lawn?" (Yes, it's weedy!) Told me the sewer lateral was broken in the street. Quoted me $18K to fix it. I asked to see the camera footage. It was "lost". Just had the work done by Wieser in Rushford. Turns out it was NOT broken in the street. They showed me the camera footage and explained everything. Saved me $13,000

THESE GUYS ARE TERRIBLE! I will never work with them again. I had them put a dish washer in for me and I was home with the service tech while he did the job. He was here for 2 hours. When I received my invoice I was charged for 4 hours of labor! After several phone calls trying to resolve this they didn't take the extra time off and charged my card UNAUTHORIZED as done before in previous reviews. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Very disappointed in the service that we received. It took them 1.25 hours at $94/hour for them to tell us they couldn't fix our dishwasher. We called them at the recommendation of the maker of the dishwasher to call a plumber. This was told to O'Laughlin, but it was apparently too difficult for them to fix. I would look at other places to get your work done.

I am extremely disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. Their business has gone down hill and I will never return to them again. I was charged 7+ hrs to put in a sink/faucet and to replace a pipe under my bathroom sink. I had them install a new boiler less than 2 years ago and they refuse to help me problem solve the difficulties I’ve had with it. They are unknowledgeable about the boiler and what the issues are and have stopped answering my inquiries for help.

Trip cost and over charging for real time labor make it hard for regular people to afford their services

TL;DR version: O'Laughlin solved my problems the first time! They provided fair prices and fast service! Hire them!
The story: Went through a water heater crisis in which my water heater was providing extremely low pressure throughout the house. It's covered by a service contract, so the company deployed some plumbing company from Rochester to look at it. The Rochester-based company said it wasn't our heater, it was our pipes and they wanted $1000 to replace all of our (admittedly old) hot water pipes. We got several second opinions in town, and O'Laughlin was the only company to provide another

We have used O'Laughlin Plumbing several times. Each and every time they have shown up early. They have got the job done right and always asked if there was anything else they could help with. I have never had a bad experience using O'Laughlin Plumbing. I will use their services again.
