Earlier this year, I was so excited that we’d started a job with a contractor to redo our 1956 garage, which I had wanted to finish since we purchased the house over four years ago. However, after he’d started demo and temporarily (and incorrectly) roughed in some connections, he got COVID and was unable to complete the job (despite my waiting for over 8 weeks for him to come back to work).

Recently hired Appease Builders to remove an alarm system box from a wall then patch and texture the wall. Company was very good with communication, prompt and finished the project in a very timely manor. Friendly and efficient.
Have hired appease for two more jobs since first review. One, to install an electrical outlet and hang an accompanying tv. The second, to disconnect a hardwired smoke detector and replace with a new, more efficient model. Both jobs were as prompt, detailed and efficient as the first, and all with friendly smiles. The job cost 21% more than the estimate because according to Tony in the text message that he sent me "Those doors were $80 last year." What this means is that he did not verify the current prices of pocket doors before writing the estimate. Verifying the cost of materials is a basic.
My tenant's floor moulding is finished with 1/2 round. Tony bought 3/4 round and used that instead, so now a section of wall simply has 3/4 when the rest of the house has 1/2. I should have received a phone call when it was discovered

Tony and team did a great job replacing the bottom of our kitchen cabinet and adding new drywall where we had a leak. Tony was very responsive throughout the whole process and went out of his way to make sure we were being taken care of and happy with the work. I am so impressed the work Appease Builders just finished in my unit. The unit above me had a bathtub leak that was leaking through the ceiling into my own bathtub/shower, bubbling out the paint in the ceiling in several places. What I like about Tony's estimate is he breaks down exactly step by step fixes n pricings so I can decide what part I can afford or what part I can fix on my own and I know exactly what is being done n not feeling frustrated confuse being in the dark! I first hired him to seal up my vents on my roof and quoted me an average price but also told me that the price can go up or down once he actually saw the damage and necessary repairs. Once he came and saw it he reduced the price by about 20% which was a great surprise. Everything is sealed up nice and neat with no water leaks and is rodent proof. The job was done quickly with two guys working on it. He has multiple workers to do any job

First, you must know they were fixing an already remodeled bathroom that was done all wrong. Thank goodness they are licensed (unlike the previous guy apparently) so if any problems arise they will comeback out and fix it. Things happen for a reason, my first job would have been an issue for the 3 condo residents below me at some point. Now I have to go after Julio Sanchez from El Monte area to get my money back! Tony and his guy came out to our home to knock out a few simple jobs we needed tightened up. When he came out on Thursday 6/14/18 to give me an estimate, he showed a half hour early which to me is a plus.
The job was fairly priced to replace two window sills and a gas service door. They came out the next Monday, were very professional and got the job done clean and quick.
I would recommend Appease Builders and look forward to working with them again!

I would highly recommend Appease Builders to anyone who needs large or small jobs done around the house. Tony and his crew are outstanding to work with. We have had them do several jobs for us; installing ceiling fans, miscellaneous other electrical work inside and out. They even put lights and outlets in my shed. ( A big deal for me!) They even installed a doggie door for our dog. We had concrete installed at one side of the house of which Martin had to hand dig a 9' X 43' section plus another smaller section. Hired to install crown molding. They did decent job, but didn't bother to cover my brand new floors and there's paint drippings all around the base of the floor in every room where they installed the molding. There's a few areas at top of molding where it looks like they ran out of caulking and just stopped. Def feel I was over-charged for the quality of work. Paid $1450 labor and just under $450 for material. Had previous estimate of $1200 all inclusive (labor & material), but choose Appease because I thought they could help with other projects. Installing my new front door is the second project I've done with Tony at Appease. They are reliable, affordable and most importantly- do the job right! Appease Builders did a tremendous job with my bathroom remodel. Tony is an excellent communicator, which is tough to find among contractors, and Martin is a true craftsman. Through the entire process I was kept informed of their progress and always felt like they knew exactly what I was looking for.
It's not easy finding an honest contractor who does quality work, doesn't cut corners, and gives you competitive quotes, but Tony at Appease Builders is that guy.

It's great to find a home improvement company whom you can trust to do virtually anything you need done and do it in a knowledgeable and thorough way. Appease painted the outside trim on my vintage windows, replaced a window in my garage, added a spark protector on my chimney and did other needed work around the house. This guys are great all around! Just had them replace and install a brand new window in my place. As well as fix a leak under my sink. Fast solid work that comes out much better than what was done before. Extremely friendly and kind people who are here to help in a honest and trustworthy way. These guys are the best!! I hired them to do wood work on my aunts home. She had a lot of wood rot on the trim board just below the roof line and they did a great job. They are so nice!! they even did some simple things for my aunt for free without asking.
They were recommended to us by a friend that also spoke very highly of there work. Now they've become our family handyman service :)
