In 1954 Charles Cabinet Co. was established by Don Charles at its present location in Roseville, MN. In 1974, Don Charles hired Jim Schreier as an apprentice cabinetmaker and eventually sold the business to Jim's father Matthew Schreier in 1976. Matt had been a cabinetmaker for 20 years. Father and son worked together until January of 1991.
At that time, Matt retired and Jim, along with his wife Deb, bought the business. Jim had a vision of taking the company to the next level of design, customer service and workmanship. He implemented computerized drafting, built a new 2000 square foot showroom, doubled the size of the shop, and installed state-of-the-art machinery.
In January of 2017, Patrick Heavirland purchased the business. After serving in the Marine Corp and obtaining a degree in Architectural Drafting Pat founded Heavirland Homes and began a 20+ year career as a designer, carpenter and contractor. Over the years Pat worked with Charles Cabinets and recognized the quality, skill and professionalism that only experience, and integrity can deliver.

Services
We approach each project with the same fundamentals in mind. In your personalized initial consultation, we'll cover the scope and goals of your project. We'll begin the creative process by drafting a simple hand drawing of your space, covering all your concerns and your wish list too. This is where the fun really begins.
This fall we remodeled our master bathroom in the attic of our 1942 home, which has lots of angles. We wanted to maximize counter and storage space. Pat, Tom and the Charles Cabinet team worked with us to perfect our idea sketches. We are very happy with the results. The guys from Charles Cabinets are awesome!

We had a kitchen remodel which included all new cabinets. They worked tirelessly to create a design we were happy with. (Our kitchen has 3 doors and 2 walls with windows, so the design was challenging.)

After 39 years of Military service my husband needed a place to display his military memorabilia. Charles Cabinet was spot on with my vision and their design for my husbands office. This was a surprise for my husband he was speechless when he saw the finished office. It was beyond our expectations. The crew at Charles Cabinets were so easy to work with and very helpful in planning our project. They also did our kitchen remodel and after many years we still love our "new" kitchen. Working with Pat and team was a wonderful experience and we are very happy with the results. The entire process from end to end was not only professional but very personable. I had received multiple bids from other builders and after meeting with Pat and team I was 100% sure I wanted to work with him. The end result is simply stunning and we would not change a single thing about your kitchen.
