Michael McDonald General Contractor is a construction company specializing in residential remodels, additions, and new home construction. In 1980 I was asked to relocate from Big Bear to the Irvine area to remodel and add 5,000 square feet to the Racquet Club of Irvine. At that time I was working as a foundation and framing contractor.
I'd like to start by thanking you for doing such a magnificent job with our kitchen remodel. We absolutely love it! It turned out just as I imagined and so much more. You and your team were always professional, easy to work with and very skilled at your craft! Everyone who comes to visit has loved our new space as much as we have and the first thing I tell them is that it wouldn't have been possible without the help of my contractor!
We're coming up on the first anniversary of our move back into our remodel, and just wanted to touch base to thank you again for all of your work on our project. I will 'out' us at this point as first time remodelers, who made every newbie mistake in the book before settling with Mike as the GC for the project.
Schedule an appointment with your general contractor to go over the scope of the work and your ideas. During the first meeting, an architect will be recommended. Several factors can have an impact on timing, such as the city you live in, what kind of work you want done, how quickly you can make decisions, and whether or not you have a home owners association.

McDonald Construction was amazing to work with. After many years of "thinking about it" I was comfortable with doing a kitchen remodel. Dave was easy to work with and his team of workers (craftsmen) were thorough and precise with their work. Very happy with the entire process.

Michael McDonald General Contractor was one of the best companies that I have hired to paint the exterior and the interior of the whole house within a week. They were very nice, kind and very flexible the way I like it. I highly recommend them and definitely use them again in the future.

I hired McDonald Construction as the General Contractor on the complete remodel of an old home we purchased to renovate and raise my children in for the next 20 years. Michael McDonald was very patience and helpful from the bidding process and then every step of the way there after. I have absolutely zero experience in renovations or remodels and he was there to assist me with all of my questions (and there have been a lot). We are currently in the final stages of the remodel and I can't give him enough praise. He is always a phone call away and is always on the job site for any questions

25 years. He is one of the most honest guys you will ever work with.
Home remodels are always difficult but Mike keeps you and your wife calm
as you go through the process. He works with some quality people. We
just completed a remodel and he promised it would be done by a given
date as we made clear timing was critical to us. In fact the job was
completed a week before the promised deadline and we are very pleased
with the result. Our home looks like new. We would strongly recommend
him.
