Proactive Painting

Raymond Gil and his assistant Jose painted the living area of our home including a challenging staircase and extra high ceiling that had been stained when racoons moved into our attic some years ago. I had a short window to get this done and Raymond responded to my Sunday night email, we had an estimate on Monday and he and Jose were painting on Thursday. Raymond is meticulous in his art. He used top quality paint and made our home look new again. I plan to have him back in the late spring for some exterior work on my balcony.

Ray and his team did an excellent job on our garage floor and front porch. They painted our garage too.
He was very communicative and responsive over text.
He was on time every morning and kept everything on schedule. Would definitely reach out to him again for future projects.

Raymond provided an estimate after an in person inspection of our house and his estimate was very competitive. The work involved painting three rooms and a closet and multiple doors. The rooms had 3 different colors. He matched and purchased the colors for us, and the work was done very professionally and to our satisfaction. I highly recommend this business.

I can't recommend Raymond and Proactive Painting enough. I hired Ray for a full interior painting job for a 2-bedroom condominium: walls, ceiling, trim, and doors. And it wasn't a simple one-color job: counting the two ceiling paints (flat for most of it, semigloss for the bathrooms), there were 13 different paints for this job.

Ray was referred to us by a neighbor who's house he had painted a couple years back. Because the result looked really good we went with Ray and he and his team did a phenomenal job! They showed up on time every day, did not cut any corners, sealed every crack and in general went above and beyond.
The result looks spectacular. Our 70y old home looks like new and blends seamlessly into the neighborhood.

Ray and his crew were fantastic. Ray was knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating with my timeline. His crew were friendly, skillful, and did fantastic work.
I had a lead paint issue with an older garage and Ray worked to remove and seal the lead paint in order to make it safe for my family. Not only was his quote very reasonable but he completed the job quickly and thoroughly with frequent checkins. When we work to repaint our home, we will certainly be giving Ray a call.

Ray and Dave were great to work with and are going to be my regular go-to's for painting. They painted an outside trellis, three sides of the exterior of the house (including scraping damage from an invasive vine), and then came into the home to paint trim and two large rooms. Excellent work, always early and on time, seamless communication, wore masks, and billed efficiently. I cannot say enough about them. The final work is flawless.

From day one I had a good feeling about this company. Raymond (owner) was prompt presenting the estimate which detailed the scope of the work to be done. These guys are for real professionals.
I needed some cabinets re finished and was referred by a friend who highly recommended Pro Active Painting. I gave them a call, got an immediate response and set up a time to meet to go over my project. Raymond was prompt to show up. He also informed me of all types of other procedures that I had not thought of. He covered everything. I hired him before he even sent over a quote.
His quote was super competitive any ways so I need not worry about price differences.

& a "get it done right" work ethic.

I have to admit, I didn't use Proactive Painting for painting, but rather for power washing my flat roof in preparation for re-coating it. Proactive was the only service of five that Yelp connected me with that actually was willing to do power washing. The two-man team used two power washers and got off all the muck, mud, leaves, and dried 'Ick" on the roof and now it's clean and white and ready to recoat. Easy and pleasant to deal with -- friendly. I'd recommend them to anyone!

We had our home painted by Raymond and his team and they did a great job. I had interviewed several painters and decided to give the business to Raymond. My decision was based on who thorough he was when he came to see our home. With his Ipad he took pictures and made notes to ensure he provided us with an accurate quote. On our second meeting he provided us with suggestions and assisted us in getting the right color for our home. He went the extra mile to make sure our home looked awesome by fixing some window frames, and all around demonstrated high quality work. He is very clean and organized

Raymond does exceptional work. He's trustworthy, honest, efficient, and a real professional. He will always make sure his customers are more than ecstatic with his services. He painted a few houses in the neighborhood after raving reviews from others on the block. You will not regret going with proactive painting!!!

I contact them to help paint my fathers kitchen and they did a great job. No job is too small for them. I would recommend them for any size paint job. Whether it's indoor or outdoor they will get the job done!

Ray and his team are a very experienced team. They are knowledgeable at what they do and do great work. Great customer service and great work. They painted the inside of my mothers house and she was very pleased. I would highly recommend them.

10 stars would not be enough for the quality of Ray Gil's work. I RARELY write reviews but I'm just over the moon about the work Ray and his assistant, David did in my home. From prep work to extra touch-ups not included in his (very fair) bid, to exceptional communication and promptness (NEVER showing up late), I cannot praise him enough. My entire kitchen, including cabinets has been rescued and beautifully transformed into a beautiful space. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Ray!

Raymond Gil (owner) was referred by a neighbor. He and his assistant, David, were efficient, professional, on time and offered competitive fees. Their bid was in writing. Their work was excellent. They carefully taped and covered everything first. Communicated clearly and asked questions about moving anything. The paint job was perfect, two coats, and never rushed. But they finished the job in less time than expected.
At the end of the work, they cleaned up well and put furniture back in place as I requested. I would definitely use them again!

Raymond was very professional and pleasant to have around while he was doing the job. He went above and beyond to do some extra touch ups not included in the original project. His work was very thorough and looked great.

Raymond was referred by another 5 star (on Yelp) painter who was too busy to fit us in this summer. Raymond called back immediately with a quote and was able to start next week. Took him and David two days to get the job done and everything turned out great. Color match was perfect. Even though Sherman Williams mixed the paint wrong the first time around, Sherman Williams had to redo it all and Raymond stayed super cool. As of the writing of this review, he just got his license after many years in the industry and over four years foreman with the aforementioned top-rated Yelp painting company.
