I brought an unframed canvas oil painting to be wrapped. They did a terrific job, and at a very reasonable price (and I had done some comparative shopping to get a sense of rates given the size of the canvas). They could not have been nicer or more helpful...even offered to deliver it for free. I will definitely be back!

I've had a few pieces of art framed here, and Max was always extremely professional and very helpful. His staff also came to my apartment to hang the pieces and did a wonderful job with that too. Max goes above and beyond to make sure that every customer is satisfied. I HIGHLY recommend OJ Art Gallery. I wish every business would operate the way he does!!!

This is an overdue, but very necessary review. I brought a special piece of art, a water painting on a stretched canvas, for Max to frame. Not only did he very precisely and professionally pick out the right frame, but did a beautiful job, at a reasonable and fair price, and delivered and hung it too! He was able to translate the image my decorator had and execute perfectly! AND he is an absolute pleasure to work with...so much so that I am having him frame another very large piece now!

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I am adding to the below review that I have previously written. Awhile ago I purchased a very large framed picture for my wedding anniversary. I took it to Max because I needed it shipped to California. I had nightmares about shipping this thing. Max assured me it would arrive in perfect condition. He reframed the picture, changed the glass, prepared it for shipment, and sent it off to California. When my wife received it she said it literally took her 30 minutes to unpack. She said there was not a scratch on it due to the attention to detail from

Max at the OJ Gallery repaired a painting for us that had been damaged during a move. Max was wonderful. He was willing to work within our tight budget and went above and beyond to make the painting look like new. I can't believe how perfect it looks now - you'd never even know it was damaged! He also worked very efficiently and had the 4x4' painting finished and completely fixed in less than a week. I'm so grateful that we found the OJ Gallery and we will definitely be returning for any future art conservation or framing needs!

I have a piece of art that I love dearly and was hesitant to entrust with a framer. Max did an incredible job. He made sure to ask me about my vision for the piece while giving really valuable and creative insights. He asked me about my apartment and the space the art would hang in, and showed me so many options. He was efficient, affordable, and knowledgeable. The best framing experience I've ever had! Max had great ideas on the frames, knew exactly what we were looking for, and quoted us a very affordable price. Everything came out beautifully and exactly as promised. My colleague and I originally went here to have artwork framed for our workplace but we both agreed that we would happily return to have our own items framed for our homes. Highly recommended.

I brought the piece into Max, along with a photo of the area of my home that I would be displaying it, and he picked the perfect frame style and color. He and his staff were incredibly attentive and worked with me through the entire decision making process.
Absolutely bringing all of my future needs to Max and his team.

Max is not only knowledgeable but friendly which is a rarity in NYC. He extremely collaborative in the process and will guide you or listen to what you want. In my case, I knew what I wanted and he agreed. The outcome was absolutely incredible. He and is staff, a family business for the most part, operate with grace, gratitude and high customer service (another NYC rarity). Thank you Max and staff for my art work. I have gotten a number of pieces framed here and always worked with the owner, Max. He is a true gentleman and great picker-of-frames. Everything I've gotten done looks incredible! I wouldn't take my art or photographs anywhere else in Manhattan. It's a pleasure to come every time as the experience is wonderful, the price more than reasonable, and the outcome perfection.

Helpful, knowledgable folks. They made great recommendations for how to best frame my prints (lacquered finish, since my walls were matte; simple, white frames since the prints were modern). The finished product was museum quality. Since the pictures were heavy (and since I am one meek-looking little girl), one worker carried them to the corner for me and waited for me to catch a cab. Not a huge reviewer, but these guys deserve 5 stars.

MAX is originally from Kauai Hawaii & he moved to NY at an early age. He obviously has done well for himself, but only because he is unlike the majority of NYers. I grew up in NYC & then moved to Hawaii, & then on to California....kind of like the opposite of MAX.

I don't write many reviews at all. But after being a customer for a while and routinely being impressed, Oj Art Gallery has earned this review.
I have had over 10 pieces (paintings, concert posters, etc.) framed at this place over the last few years. Max has always been amazing to work with. Him and his team have a great sense of how to enhance the piece without taking the attention away from it.
