Cracks and potholes do not necessarily mean that you need a completely new driveway, according to Rich of McFarlane Driveway Restoration. The McFarlane family has a history of servicing the Bergen/Passaic area. Getting a new driveway costs thousands of dollars, but Rich and his crew are ready to restore the driveway you have as an economical alternative with the latest Asphalt recycling and infrared equipment available.
Many asphalt pavement owners learn too late that a system of preventive maintenance can extend the life of their pavement. Maintaining your parking lot will more than double its service life. Preventative Parking Lot Maintenance is the solution to prevent further deterioration of a parking lot. It is also the most cost-effective solution to maximize pavement life while minimizing risk.
If you had a hole in the wall of your house, would you tear the whole house down and rebuild it? Of course not. But most professional paving contractors want to tear out your driveway to fix potholes and cracks! They think that anything less isn't worth their time. And the small pothole guys don't have the expertise to do proper repairs.
Because it is made from oil, asphalt has skyrocketed in cost. Infrared Repairs provides the best solution to lower the cost of pavement repair. Infrared offers a faster "open to traffic" timeline, lower materials cost and seamless repair-no cutting means no seams in a patch for water to penetrate and cause future problems.

I have used their services several times, the last time was this week. My driveway had developed a few long cracks. The crew did a great job of filling the cracks & laying a thick layer of seal coating. Now the driveway looks like new. The workers were professional, courteous and observed Covid guidelines. The price was reasonable too, especially given the quality of the work. Highly recommended.

We spoke about driveway restoration and was told I should be at home when he came to look at the driveway. We made an appointment a week in advance. Normally leaving for work earlier, I stayed home for a 9am appointment. He was a no show. I waited until 9:45am to call him. No return call then, or ever. Things happen, emergencies pop up, I understand that. But a call at some point would have been the proper business practice. Very disappointed as this name is well known in the area for paving.

Overall terrible experience and far from professional. Attached photos are from the next day up to 3 weeks later. When contacting Rich about the disappointing work, he said, "Its not supposed to look good." Also, "next time i need to request he's there so the guys do better work."
I didn't expect any repairs to last more than a year, but I did expect complete work and for it to last longer than a month.
