No, any tree that falls to the ground, or falls on another tree or structure, does not require a permit to be removed. It is a best practice to take a photo of the fallen tree and retain it for your records, in the event of a removal complaint. Yes, City of Atlanta requires a permit to remove healthy trees with diameter-at-breast-height of 6 (six inches) or greater.

Excellent excellent service!! I highly recommend for anyone wanting to remove any size tree, prune and trim trees and grind stumps. They did exactly what they said they would do and for a fair price. Everyone was easy to communicate with and they were flexible enough to cut additional trees that I wanted cut at the last minute ( a huge one). I just purchased 1.8 acres of land and will be using them to clear our trees for the building project. I can’t say enough about how great and professional they were. Hector’s crew did an amazing job! We needed 2 trees cut down. They came out and it was such a quick process! They didn’t need me for anything. We had one tree leaning on our house and they neatly worked without banging up the house. They are great! They cleaned up behind themselves so that’s always amazing! I will most definitely use them again in the future!

Hector and Aaron of Hector Tree Service removed three 100 foot trees and their stumps from my front yard this week. Primary power lines at the street complicated the process but Hector's men handled it perfectly.
These men and their crew are very professional and skilled. Worth every dollar they charged! They did everything promised and more. Left my yard cleaned up and even offered to return at no charge if I needed to grind the roots even lower than the 12 inches down the did today.

Hector and his crew arrived on time, were very professional, and did great quality work. Their crew removed one massive oak tree, ground multiple stumps, limbed up 6 trees and trimmed some bushes/trees in our backyard. They arrived early, worked efficiently, and left our property clean and tidy. I 100% recommend them for anyone needing tree work done. Will definitely be calling them again.

We are so thankful for Hector, Aaron, and the entire team that took down an oak tree that was almost 200 years old on a busy road. Estimate appointment was on time and thorough, and very kind to my mother. Tree take down day was on time, and the crew worked hard and steady and no playing around. They all knew their task and the job was done in 5 hours, and not one piece of debris was left anywhere. Perfect!

We compared different quotes for taking down 13 trees in our backyard. Hector was by far the best price! Aside from that, seamless process to get an estimate, his team was like a well-oiled machine - every move was done right. We had several trees taken out and other trees trimmed all around our yard. Hector showed up promptly to provide an estimate and completed job within a week of bidding. He and his guys showed up early and he completed our job in one day. We live on a steep hill and his guys carried all logs and debris up the hill. They did a great job and we were very pleased with the whole process. He is insured which was very important to us.
