Founded over 30 years ago with a focus on education and certification, J&R Tile has grown to become one of the most respected and credentialed commercial tile contractors in the U.S. There's always something else to learn! That's what John Kotara, along with his brother Raymond, told themselves when they founded J&R Tile, Inc. over 30 years ago.
This 119,456 Sq Ft Midtown High-Rise needed an update. No Demo? No Problem. A new floor can bring new life to a building and space. Large Gauged Porcelain Panels are the answer. These are 30"x60" and are 1/4" in thickness, straight from Italy with our direct importing capabilities. Tile technology in 2018 with skilled labor can make remodeling painless.
Did you know construction is the ONLY industry still 20 years behind in technology? Our mission is to educate architects, designers, builders, and homeowners the capabilities and aesthetics of porcelain slabs. Stone/wood/metal/concrete looks, that last for centuries without the cost and maintenance.
5+ years of tile experience as foreman/lead (Large Gauged Porcelain Tile/Kerdi&Wedi/self-leveling/membranes/mud floors and walls/large format/lippage control systems experience a plus). At J&R Tile, we only promote from within. All our setters and installers began as an apprentice and become eligible for promotion to installer once they complete the certification process of becoming a CTI.

I'm a DIY self contractor retiling my shower... I realized I needed precise cutouts for the faucets...I went to J and R and met Chris and Jan in the front office who said " no problem". I left my two tiles, came back that afternoon and the holes were perfectly cut and no charge

The team at J&R Tile did an excellent job and were just in time fitting my project into their project schedule. I would not hesitate to recommend them or utilize them again on my next project. The work at my home was more than cosmetic, it was also about functionality to enable me to care for a disabled, wheelchair bound family member. I had one shower remodeled to raise the step in shower to become a zero entry shower. They also removed carpet from all bedrooms, living room, and office and replaced it with a resilient LVT knowing the flooring will need to withstand daily wheelchair and rolling

Great products and really knowledgeable people at J&R. They care to help you make the best decision on installation and which materials you go with. This is a fantastic locally owned and operated business. Their staff hosted my group of Cub Scouts who were learning about Engineering. They walked them through a "Day at J&R Tile", showed them how to prep tile and allowed them to make their own tile layout.
