Opening this design studio means THE WORLD to me as it is the vehicle to serve humanity by offering shelter through the homes that we build for them, while also being able to curate a design that allows families to thrive in the environments that we design for them. I also get to be a role model for my nieces, and other girls, who aspire to do this work and want to be an entrepreneur, as it was rare for me to see when I was growing up.

We worked with Poonam on our home remodel. From the design of the new spaces to the paint colors, she was with us at every juncture. She first asked us to make boards on Houzz and Pinterest so she could gauge our design interests. Then she took our needs and wants and created 2D and 3D images of the new spaces. She pushed us to make sure we had a home we LOVED not just liked. Her attention to detail was a real plus as it made us create a functional home as well as a beautiful one. Poonam Patel w/Urban Loop Studio did a phenomenal job of redesigning & renovating our home. Having a designer who is a skilled architect opened up what was possible with our home & resulted in a much more open concept living room/kitchen. The house looks open, airy & charming & is much more functional. She redesigned the space to include larger windows, wonderful lighting, storage, bathrooms, kitchen & dining room. She did an amazing job & was a pleasure to work with.

We worked with Poonam on designing and furnishing our new home in Little Elm, TX. We were looking for professional help but also wanted someone that we could connect with at a personal level - be able to understand our tastes and talk to us as a friend. And Poonam was all of that and more ! Her approach is engaging and in a way makes you think about design concepts like you have not thought about before. And this was important for us. Our project grew from a few rooms to renovation of the entire home. Before we selected Urban Loop Studio, we were stumped about how to marry different ceiling heights in our main living area where we were removing a wall. We hired Poonam in part because she's an architect as well as a designer; she suggested vaulting the ceiling & it looks amazing. We've also completed 2 of 3 bathrooms so far, & they are stunning. This one woman show was such a delight to work with. Who knew you could pack so much energy into such a small package. Poonam helped me with the redesign of my guest bedroom. From start to finish, I felt my needs were addressed and little details were taken care. She didn't sway me to any particular vendors. The pricing was reasonable compared with others. I felt she did an excellent job and have recommended her to my friends.

Poonam did a fantastic job designing 2 spaces in our home: our dining room and our entry room. She worked pretty closely with us from the beginning to understand our needs, what the rooms would be used for, our tastes and preferences, and our budget.
