Our roots date back to 1973, where Larry Oelschlegel, Jr. ran a one-man snow plow side business with a handful of clients. The business continued to be a one-man operation, though occasionally employing additional workers and plow trucks over the years. As his children grew, they would often accompany him during snowstorms.
Our Reputation: We are a locally owned, family operated business with an excellent reputation including hundreds of satisfied customers in residential and commercial markets. Airy is our home and has been for the past 40 years. Our families have all grown up here (and joined the business), and we consider this our community.
While we've stayed true to our roots in NW Philadelphia, our growing network of service providers has enabled us to reach deep into the suburbs of Philadelphia. As a happy customer of Suburban Snow Plow for the past five winters I have only good things to say about them. Firstly, they keep me informed of the evolving weather forecasts (national weather service, not the local television stations and their hype), then they do exactly what is needed (shovel, sweep, salt, plow, etc.) to keep our property safe to navigate, with extreme sensitivity towards the timing of scheduled events at our house of worship.
Winter weather events used to be a big headache for us but with Ian and his crew on the job we feel much more secure. I heartily recommend them.

Our medical office has used Suburban Snow Plow since 2011. Ian and his family/team are extremely reliable. They monitor the weather forecasts and update me as to what to expect and their plan for making sure our facility parking lot as well as surrounding sidewalks are clear and salted for the safety of all our patients and staff. They are extremely thorough when sending their monthly invoice - giving a very specific timeline of the storms and what exactly they did. I never have to call them - they are ALWAYS one step ahead of the weather system.

The Unitarian Society of Germantown has relied on the amazing services of Suburban Snow Plow LLC for approximately 10 years. We have come to rely on their expert read on weather forecasts and how severe a storm may be and translate that into what services will need to be provided and when. Here at New Life Church of Glenside, the Suburban Snow Plow crew has been tending to our Ice & Snow Removal needs since 1988. We have a large parking lot of 250 parking spaces, hundreds of feet of sidewalks, a handicap ramp and three exits to major roadways. They have been on top of things and communicated well including texting weather report updates. Over the years, they have continued expand and add services of which we have taken full advantage of. I would recommend them to get the job done.
