Scott grew up in East Dallas, attended Lake Highlands schools and graduated from the UT Dallas. He came from a family of engineers and has loved designing, creating, and building since childhood. He founded New Leaf in 2006 and has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Scott's greatest desire is to design and build high-quality, long-lasting homes that people will appreciate for years to come.
Melissa has a bachelor's degree from UT Dallas and a master's degree from Texas Woman's University. She had a private therapy practice before she joined Scott at New Leaf in 2007. Melissa has an eye for design, and, as a mother of four, knows the elements involved in making a home work for a growing family.
She loves having a direct impact on the neighborhood and surrounding areas that she calls her own by working with each client to help them select or design their own beautiful new home. Michael has a bachelor's degree in Construction Administration and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

In 2011 my family bought our first New Leaf spec home, and in 2018 we designed and built our second New Leaf (custom) home. The second time around we worked with the in house design team and we really appreciated the streamlined processes and attention to detail. We asked for some unique layouts in our floor plan and Brett knocked it out of the park. Our project manager was professional and responsive and brought us creative solutions when a challenge arose. Yes, New Leaf!

I simply cannot say enough good things about New Leaf. I didn’t think it would be possible to finish the design and build process and love our builder, but Scott, Melissa, and the entire New Leaf crew proved me so very wrong! They were simply incredible! We have been living in it for 3.5 years as of this writing and we absolutely LOVE our new home!!

My husband and I bought our home in Farmers Branch in March of this year knowing we would need to remodel. We knew the house had “good bones” but it was difficult to imagine how we could turn it into an open concept. New Leafs Architect, Brett immediately had a vision and not only did he create the open concept but he also added another bath, bedroom and a study. We then met with New Leaf’s design team feeling overwhelmed over all the selections we would have to make. Sam and Elizabeth were masterful at breaking down the process for us, keeping us focused and bring our dream home to life

We had our dream home built by New Leaf. From start to finish, this team has been outstanding. We almost think they undersell their services. We toured one of their homes in Lakewood, loved it, then asked them to build our home in University Park. From Brett in Architecture to Melissa, Sam, and Elizabeth in Interior Design to our KILLER Project Manager, Robert, they all exceeded our expectations. In addition to being great at their jobs, they are fun people to work with. We are so thankful. Thank you New Leaf, 5 stars!

We built a new home with New Leaf in 2018-2019 and couldn't recommend them highly enough! We were outgrowing our 3 bedroom house in White Rock Valley with an expanding family and needed more space. We talked with Scott & team and they gave us great advice about all the pro's and con's of remodeling vs starting from scratch on a new house. We were impressed with Scott & New Leaf's experience and knowledge of the market. We are currently building a house with new leaf. We have been very happy with the process thus far. They have brought almost everything in-house so you don’t have to be the go between with architects, designer, and the builder. Also, they just implemented a new project management system which seems like it will be a big step forward for receiving updates...which will be great for someone like me who wants to track every step. :-)
