Gary Ford has had his hands in the landscaping industry for over a decade. He began Garrison's Landscaping back in 2002 in Nashville, TN operating it there until mid 2005. In 2006 he was married to his college sweet heart and moved to the Carolina's to be close to family. After moving to NC in 2006 he continued to run his business on the side, while working in the corporate world using his business finance education.

A. Any type of cool season grass, such as Kentucky bluegrass, Rough bluegrass, Creeping red fescue, Sheep fescue, Tall fescue, Perennial ryegrass and Annual rye grass would be a good grass to grow in the Piedmont area, due to the climate. The warm season grasses, such as Bermuda, St. Augustine and Zoysia grass is better on the coastal areas due to hotter weather.

My backyard was horrible. My yard was like a swamp. I was referred to Gary. Gary and his staff done an excellent job.I now have a yard that is not only beautiful but enjoyable. I would call his company again and would definitely recommend. I wish I could upload before and after pictures. So pretty, luscious and green.

Gary and his team restructured my landscaping to give my house more curb appeal. With the installation of river rocks, shrubs, ground covering flowers, trees, and much, my house had taken on a new look. Gary is so personable, yet professional. Just moved into a new home and wanted the landscaping to look better than the typical builders grade. Gary and his team did a fantastic job selecting some beautiful yet low maintenance plants and shrubs and the edging and mulch really transformed the appearance of our house. Also identified some potential drainage issues and took care of that as well. I wouldn’t use anyone else. Very knowledgeable with all things landscaping and grading.

If you want it done right the first time call Gary!!! I can not say enough great things about this company. I had no idea what to do looking at my yard before Gary came to give me an estimate and told me he would take care of it all not to worry. They expertly graded my awful yard until it looked perfect! His guys showed up promptly and wouldn't call it a day until they felt it was perfect! I had questions about watering and maintenance and Gary has been available every time I have contacted him to answer all my questions. I could not be happier. Now my grass has come in beautifully and looks amazing

Working with Gary on this landscaping/hardscape project for my backyard was truly a pleasure. The quality of work was superb!!! I had several quotes for a 2 tier retaining wall to install in my backyard. Gary’s estimate was the most reasonable quote.
