I liked that it was not a large chain and they didn't charge much for the work. They told me the chemical they sprayed would only last for 6 months, so I will definitely call them back after that.

Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with a job well done, as well as a quick response to a problem, carpenter ants.

It's never a good thing when you hear "critter noises" coming from your kitchen. I called Carnegie Exterminators and they arranged to have Mike come out to our home to help us. On our walk down the driveway, Mike immediately identified what and how they got inside. It took about 30 seconds! He was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with lots of questions and so we instituted a plan.

All quickly and confidently. He didn't try to upsell us which was also so refreshing. I'm grateful that Mike and the team at Carnegie Exterminators are working with us to manage this problem. A great choice!

Just bought a house (as-is and waived inspection), pulled up the carpets, and saw small signs of termite damage. Not knowing anything about this, I first called Terminix. Terminix wanted to put me on a lifetime annuity plan of $100 a month to set termite bait traps. I then called Carnegie Exterminators for a second opinion. They came out and identified drill marks on side of house indicating that the house had, in fact, previously been treated for termites (this would have been obvious to anyone trained in the industry -- note: the Terminix people did not mention this to me).

They then said that treatment was not necessary because there were no active infestations (whatever the last owner did had resolved the problem). To make a long story short, not knowing any better, I would have gladly gave them a large amount of money to treat the house. However, due to their honesty, at the end of the day I only paid a one-time, small service fee and saved a lot of money. The outcome would have been much horrible and more expensive had I used Terminix.

Carnegie Exterminators was incredibly responsive. They came in within a few hours to address a rodent problem in my parents house. The gentleman that came was very polite and quickly took care of problem. Can't say enough good things. We had a very positive experience and will definitely call Carnegie Exterminators in the future. Thank you, Carnegie Exterminators!

Very professional. Update: I asked Michael to come back and check the spiders I have on the side of my house and a trail of ants. He was honest about the spiders about what to do with them. Mike is professional, reliable, thorough and ready to help whenever there's a problem, he is a great when comes to listen what we need in our home. He solved our flies problem and we haven't seen any in our house since we started treatments. Carnegie exterminator are also very accommodating when setting up appointments. Very impressed with their work.

I've used Carnegie Pest control for 20 yrs or more for small mice. We have animals and John was very patient when explaining that the chemicals he uses are Pet Friendly. We never had a problem with mice for yrs. Im calling them today. Ok. I did call.a women answered and was very friendly and informative. I dont know why these cry baby's complain about everything.

If they were rude.its not the end of the world for them.they responded to the 1 star review professionally. These people who write bad reviews probably do it to everyone!.Johns been doing this a long time and knows all the tricks of the trade.thanks John.see you soon.ahhh.hope not.lol.

I have used "John" from Carnegie Exterminators more than once. I have no Idea why everyone is complaining about him being rude. I found him to be a really stand up guy. Even talked with me about some of the old equipment his family has used for years. Just really nice. And the price they ask is less than 1/4 the price of any of the big name companies for the same service and the 1 year warranty. Terminex quoted me $1800 to spray a stupid old rotting tree stump 20 feet from my house. John charged me a low few hundred and also strayed the perimeter of the house just for good measure.

So I say, save 3/4 of your money and call Carnegie Exterminators if you need to get rid of some pests. And if by some chance they seem "rude" keep in mind everyone is entitled to a rough day. But you are also saving a lot by hiring these guys. I will only work with these guys from now on. Though I hope I never have to again, for obvious reasons. :

Excellent work, do not let the other 1 star commments get to your mind, they did an outstanding job. I reported that i had Silverfish in my house and they came immediately after i had told them about the situation. I now dont have any silverfish. I can finally go home and craft the things i need to defeat Herobrine without having to fend off countless waves of silverfish. Thanks Carnegie Exterminators!

Called to have them come out and inspect for termites or any pests in our wood frame garage. They found none, which was nice to hear, however the best part was no charge! It was refreshing to deal with a pest control company that wasn't trying to high pressure sell a service package. We definately call them for all our future needs.

Called and described the problem to Jon, the owner. He provided the names of the chemicals they would use, so I was able to look them up on the internet. Internet research agreed with what he described in terms of product effectiveness and safety to pets, etc. He and his crew came out w/in two days. He investigated the upstairs interior where we saw the ants, and in the basement climbed our ladder to remove suspended ceiling panels to view the area.

He did a thorough look around the basement, even pointing out areas that we hadn't noticed. He sprayed the interior and the crew sprayed the exterior (using a compressor, not hand-held equipment.) He offers tiered pricing, based on the amount of time you'd like the work to be warranted. This is nice, as you can decide what is appropriate for yourself. We selected the 90-day warranty, which was the lowest price tier.

They are friendly and their service is very good. If there are ever any issues, they some back and make it right.

Over a weekend my house was invaded by carpenter ants. dozens at a time were marching in from the breakfast nook, through the kitchen, to my front door. It was horrible. I consulted Angie's List and chose him because he was local, not connected with a big company. I called on a Sunday. He returned my call early Monday morning and said that even though his schedule was full, he would work me in at the end of the day because it appeared to be an emergency.

He came very late that afternoon and treated the property. He did not try to push an extended contract on me -- although I'll probably call him again for some maintenance. He said it would take up to two weeks for the ants to completely disappear, but they were gone within two days.
