Austin, our technician, called ahead of time to see if we could do our visit earlier in the day and in his timing was very considerate of the fact that my husband works from home and might be on a call when he arrived. He was very thorough and gave my husband a full report of the health of the chimney and wood burning stove (we just bought our house in June). We would definitely use Swept Away for regular maintenance in the future.

Swept Away Chimney did major work on two of our fireplaces (one chimney) that had not been built properly & were dangerous to use. They were here for 3 days & told us that this was the most difficult job they've ever done. My husband & I were blown away by not only the quality of their work but their attitudes, friendliness & professionalism. We've had more than our fair share of workmen/repair people in this house, & Spencer, Austin & Faison were, by far, the best we've ever had! We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Spencer installed new gas logs. Working great. He also advised that my dryer vent was dangerous and that I should have a new one installed by a company who specializes in vents. I so appreciated his honesty, as I had hired him to clean my dryer vent, which he could have done, as a previous company did and not mentioned the problem! Service: Fireplace installations

We needed a new chimney cap made and installed, as well as having our chimney swept. The price was reasonable and they completed the installation and chimney sweeping in a timely manner. Excellent service beginning to end. Everything they said they would do was fulfilled, and explained well, every step of the way. The pricing was a pinch more than some other quotes, but the other companies would not respond in a timely fashion and / or had bad customer service. You get what you pay for. Upon originally calling this company and receiving the estimate for the chimney cleaning and the repair that I was recommended, there were some scheduling and communication issues. When the technician and owners learned of my concerns, they reached out immediately to address them and that is so greatly appreciated. The technician performed the repair and cleaning.
That demonstrates quality customer service and follow through that you do not often see these days. It has been so warm that we have not had to use the fireplace, but it is certainly clean now, the panel has been replaced, and the gas valve/hose sealed.

My phone message was not returned on the voicemail. Once Spencer the technician came to the house I was at ease. He cleaned and inspected my chimney. Spencer educated me on everything step by step. Showing me pictures of my chimney and what needed to be addressed. Spencer was extremely professional and efficient. I feel comfortable recommending Swept Away.

Very thorough job, easy to communicate to set up appointments. I was quoted back in September and they honored it at the end of January - many companies will put an expiration date on their quotes. Very fair value for what was performed and the guy who came out, Spencer, was explaining everything he was doing. I recommend Swept Away to anyone who needs fireplace/chimney work.
