I need to leave this positive review for Mike N. His service was outstanding. I am very pleased with the result of the repair he's done with my garage gate. I requested work order for my garage door to our local housing maintenance, I am not sure what they have been doing but even temporary fix was not was not even a success. My only request was for me to be able to lock the door from the outside as the lock mechanism was messed up if tried to lock from outside.
It was not very convenient to lock your garage door when you are already outside then had to go to back again inside through your main entrance door is it? It's such a relief now with Mike's resolve. He had not just repaired the lock but even lubricated the moving parts and made sure it's back to how it should work its purpose. Mike has worked after hours to get my gate repaired, to me that's commitment and dedication on its own right.
He was friendly with my pets as well, They like him. His attention to detail deserves a commendation, He also has a plan B in case the fix he's done would fail if ever. I just want his leadership to recognise his workmanship and for him to get credit on his excellent performance.

My garage door cable jumped off the drum and a latch on the door was broken. I contacted the company that night and they returned my call promptly the following morning and came out within a few hours of the call. I was serviced by Bill Vincent. My tech was knowledgable, friendly, professional and QUICK! I am happy with the services rendered and had a pleasant experience. 5 stars!

Wow. What a rarely good experience I just had. This morning at 7:30 AM as I was leaving through my garage to walk the dog the garage door snapped and stopped working. I've never had to deal with anything related to a garage door before so I had no clue who to call. I googled "garage door repair DC" and Overhead Door Company was the first response I saw.
I called them (at 7:30 AM) and assumed that no one would answer because it was so early. Surprise! A real (and very polite) human answered the phone and transferred me to their residential services department and they were able to get my appointment set for the same morning. The technician who arrived (at 10:30 AM) was named Connor and he was unbelievably polite, professional and knowledgeable.
He quickly identified what was wrong with the garage door and quickly and expertly fixed it. When he left I even tried to give him a tip to reward him for being exceptionally good and he refused my tip, saying it wasn't necessary because the company takes really good care of him. I work in customer service myself and am consider myself somewhat demanding and hard to please because I know how service is supposed to really be versus what it usually is.
Therefore please take it from me. Overhead Door Company is the real deal and will over-deliver on your customer service experience, which is a rarity these days. I can't say enough good about Connor and the team that I dealt with over the phone in the process. Consider me amazed.

They were able to accommodate my schedule and come on the day I was able to work from home! When the technician arrived, he was very polite and understanding as I was on a conference call at the same time. He took care of my requests efficiently and easily (reconnected my keypad and linked the buttons in my car to the openers). When I had a follow-up issue, Justin was super-responsive.
