This review is long overdue. It was a pleasure working with Ryan and his crew. We originally reached out to Rise Group for structural drawing, but we ended up hiring them to rebuild a common wall, which they did an outstanding job. We felt that it was a good decision to have them build our wall since they were working on our drawing. They started the job back in Dec of 2020, but it took several months to finish the wall due to SJ city permit. The process of getting the city permit and having someone to come out to inspect the wall took so long. Thanks to Rise Group, the inspection went smoothly

Our house had some structural issues: the bottom portion of one of the three columns supporting the balcony was detached, and the backyard patio should be demolished due to termite problem. I know other companies could've done these jobs at lower prices, but to me the integrity of the property is a more important consideration than the cost. Ryan and his crew did an exceptional job on rebuilding a deteriorated (due to dry rot) balcony and staircase at an apartment building. I recently worked with Ryan on finalizing the structure and drawing for floor plan remodel for a new house we bought. They were by far the most price competitive and I was initially worried about the quality. However after talking to Ryan my concerns were allayed and I went ahead with them. I can only say one of the best decisions I took. Ryan and Tina (the architect) were super responsive. I recently contacted RISE group to help evaluate dry rot repair that appeared to be on a load supporting beam. Ryan graciously offered a virtual consultation through video and helped assess if structural engineering services were needed. It turns out that the beams were architectural rather than structural and his services were not needed. I greatly appreciate his time and consultation on this issue. While I did not have the opportunity to engage their paid services, I do recommend RISE group due the way Ryan's handled my concerns.

My kitchen and two master bedroom bathrooms are now complete and its beautiful! Nick and the rest of the subcontractors made this project so easy and worry-free. We actually started talking about the kitchen back in November 2018 and were about to start when we received word that the countertops wouldn't be ready until mid to late December. What a great experience! We had just bought out first home late last year. We needed a full kitchen remodel with a few odds and ends around the house like removing the brick fireplace and raising the ceiling for the living room.

It was great to work with Rise group. I was setting up an aquarium in my house with crawl space as our foundation and needed advice about how much weight the floor could support. Rise group was one of the companies who quickly responded to my quote requests. I didn't know about the process at all but, Arash explained everything very well and helped me get all the answers. Rise Group have been exceptional to work with on our extremely challenging home addition which required removal of couple of heavy load bearing walls and retaining walls. I had a difficult time finding an engineering firm that was responsive to this type of residential project. Rise Group Engineering was at my house 2 days after I contacted them, inspected the house in the dark with flashlights while i was out of town on business and moved quickly to prepare a design for permit. We used Rise Group to replace some rotting structural beams and posts in our house. We loved that we could get structural engineering and construction from the same company. We didn't have to make any effort to co-ordinate between the two. They took care of all the structural drawings, permitting, construction, and inspections. They went the extra mile to make sure the work was structurally sound. When they found that a beam that was not part of the original quote was not mounted properly, they redid some of the work they had already done in order to get access to the beam and secure it properly

These guys did a great job on designing my new two story house. I purchased a lot in Santa Cruz county and decided to build my dream house there. I was referred to RISE Group by my architect and thank god that was the best decision I have made. My architect was skeptical on my ideas from the engineering point of view. I wanted to have windows and openings pretty much everywhere. But RISE Group experienced structural engineers made all of them happen. I love my new custom home, specially the huge wide open ocean front window :)
